Don't really know what to make of it.
Personally not a fan of him, and I'm all honestly I don't see the Spurs going for that kind of player "character wise", yet there had been some rumble before, around June 2018, that the Spurs were looking to trade for him.

We don’t need Porzingis since we have Davis MVBertan

I'm in the NY market and I can't stand Porzingis, he's Bargnani soft and I hope the Spurs stay far away from his en led, injured, over-hyped behind.

Gasol isn't going anywhere and everyone else on the roster besides the last 3 rosters spots are overachieving and all on good cheap contracts, they all found their confidence playing with each other and they all have that counted out chip on their shoulders, the last thing they need is to add some en led brat who thinks he is gods gift to a basketball court, skipping exit interviews and what not...big time no from me

Only concern but its a big one, its his injury, other than that of course we should be interested in KP.

I'd rather they just go after Kawhi tbh, imo, fwiw.

I assumed this at the beginning of the season. Here's why:

    1. Pop loves Euro-bigs

    2. Coming off an ACL tear he should be relatively cheap (in relation to his on court value)

    3. Fits the DJ/Lonnie/White timeline of the future core

    4. Bertans team mate at the national team

    5. Is apparently critical towards the Knicks franchise

the only issue I would see is, how do you find minutes for him and LaMarcus? We'd probably have to move him, but maybe not. It's definitely not a bad idea to go after him though, it's already a miracle if any All-Star caliber players want to sign here to begin with

Why does everyone think the Spurs are trading for him? I thought O’Conner believes the Spurs are going after him as a restricted free agent this summer?

free agent signing. I can only see this happening if he gets lowball offers. He's not worth paying 30 million per year

It's actually pretty funny cause he's 7'3,but yes,in Europe he was playing SF and PF.
Anyways, this isn't as a non story as it may look like cause if you've seen the man play, especially in his NT,he obviously values winning more than anything..
    He's suffered through,what,3 years with the Knicks,tanking seasons,Phil Jackson's incompetence,Melo Drama,an ACL..
The Bertans connection is there, there has been interest in the past,i wouldn't be surpriced if the real story was "..and Porzingis is also interested in joining the Spurs"

I don't see it either. I just don't see the path to get him. He's going to get a max offer that the Knicks will match.

I doubt it. Like I'm sure they'd feel happy to have him, but they have made no indications what they planned on making any free-agent run. Just smells like bull .

Seriously though, they won’t trade him. I’d be down depending on who had to be given up. He can be a complete player.

Meh... on this side of the coin, PATFO doing their due diligence, like other organizations, to contact him this summer, just as they may with No. 2, & perhaps other big name free agents. Bertans can be the bait to lure him here, since, of coarse, they are from the same country, & played together on the Latvian National team. But on the flipside of the coin, this could be a possible move to sure-up the future for the organization. I'm sure there's question about his injury, but remember, Bertans also suffered simular injuries, & has proven to be a productive player. Now with Porzingis being a much bigger person, could his injury come into play as an issue throughout his career? But I can see NY throw BIG $$$ at him, & he ends up staying... unless The Unicorn isn't happy there & decides to go elsewhere. This will be a popcorn moment to see how this will play out this summer, but won't be holding my breath though. GSG!!!
