Those first six weeks or so are brutal. Nothing but eating, sleeping, and ting. And they don't smile or have any kind of personality yet.

I weigh less than 135 too, about 133 right now, but I always weigh the most in January because of all the extensive holiday eating... I usually bottom out around May to August. Not a dwarf, just a little below average height in 5'8", and definitely no trisomy or autism spectrum syndromes tbh.

Just wait until the first time your kid smiles at you, it's not boring after that point.

Yes, very exhausting and doubly so if you are broke and both parents have to work.

Well let's see over the past year I've been at clients including... JP Morgan, CVS, Citi, Schwab, and more.

Main skills? I guess database, data science, analytics, tableaus, anything mathy... spreadsheets. I've been hired for testing jobs and DBA type roles. I worked doing COBOL for awhile at HP Enterprise a few years back, hated the environment. I don't do hard java type coding if that's what you're asking.

Ya, fully agree..going to a friend's house with a dog that jumps all over you and relentlessly begs is disgusting..

You can say the same about kids, though..9 out of every 10 kids is an irritant..
Yeah, I had a friend who was from Bangladesh and his kid would beg for food at the table. I was like dude, can you get your distended kid away from me?

PHP is an older outdated language as well tbh. LAMP stack is being phased out for MEAN stack in a lot of companies.

call it "cute" ally you want, front end guys that have React, Angular, Node, etc. are in high demand and make bank. More high demand than your ty cobol skillset tbh

They are more in demand than your ty database, reporting, and testing jobs lol.

your skill set is garbage outside the data science. I am sure why you are qualifying as data science isn’t truely data science thiugh

Yeah it is. It's not just tableau it's SAS (E/M & T/M), SPSS, decision trees, neural networks, statistical data modeling/predictive modeling, clustering and sorting, hadoop map-reducing, hypothesis and regression analysis, tbh. It all kind of works its way into data science. It's a great field for someone who loves math particularly the practical side rather than abstract.

Pure QA testing jobs are pretty easy and require little math skill, but the mathier the better imo.

Database as well is definitely not ty, quality DBAs have to be really OCD in a good way and extremely accurate and precise.

I'm definitely not bashing front end, though. It's extremely important in today's society where everyone especially millennials want everything to look and feel and run perfectly on the UI end. It's just not really my forte.

Andrew we both know you have been doing ty testing and reporting jobs and calling them "data science". It's cool dude.

I guess we need to figure out what you mean by obsessed. Are you in a relationship where your partner is having sex with your dog? Perhaps you could ask to join in and show her that you’re willing to put effort into the relationship. Also ask yourself, what is the dog giving her that you can’t? Maybe start wearing a dog costume and see if maybe it’s simply a physical attraction. If that doesn’t work, have an honest discussion between the three of you to pinpoint what the dog is doing (or that you’re not doing) that’s meeting her needs.
