Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin will be in the hot seat on Capitol Hill on Thursday as Congressional Democrats investigate President Donald Trump’s relationship with Russia.
Mnuchin’s classified briefing is “the start of an aggressive new focus on Mnuchin by newly empowered House Democrats,” NBC News reported Wednesday.
At focus in the closed-door hearing is
Mnuchin’s decision to ease sanctions on companies aligned with Oleg Deripaska.
Deripaska is a Russian oligarch with close ties to Vladimir Putin and former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort.
In 2016, Mnuchin was Trump’s national finance chair.

This is a massive concession and does not bode well for Trump.

He is he is a subject of 17 criminal investigations in which his personal lawyer is preparing to testify in public about his crimes. His organization getting shut down while all of his businesses are under scrutiny and subject to asset forfeiture.Trump still not a target.

Not all the 17 actions are criminal. By my casual count DJT is a possible target in 2 criminal investigations (one of which is pretty much speculative: obstruction of justice) and 2 lawsuits. In another he's an unindicted co-conspirator. (payoffs to girlfriends)

Sorry Mueller isn’t just investigating obstruction of justice. collusion is not a legal term but conspiracy is. And Trump is a subject there.
