I know clueless nerds that use "advanced" stats hate him, but he's given the bench a breath of fresh air. Their ball movement is special now that a certain Central American doesn't dribble for 23 seconds of the shot clock only to turn it over.

Will post his stats over the last 20 games or so later when today's game gets counted, but he's playing like a 6moy candidate within that span

He’s good but he’s a walking red carpet on defense. Gonna be ugly when teams exploit that in the playoffs.

Rockets are the only team that can exploit him tbh. Warriors have disgustingly bad bench.

If the Spurs had one additional wing defender (besides White) would make it easier to extend Marco's minutes when he's hot. Will get tougher to play him more minutes in playoffs as teams will look to force him to defend and Pop to pull him. Now some nights he will still shoot so well you can live with his D, but saw tonight in 4th OKC went with Westbrook, George, and a hot Schruder leaving no one that Beli could half way defend

But agree with OP Marco has been a plus player and big part of bench success especially since that benching against the Lakers

OKC's gameplan was to attack Beli on the offense. Makes sense since OKC really wanted this win tonight

I didn’t know France was in Central America. Interesting.

Was Beli guarding Schroeder? Don't think so.

OKC won because of DDR and Pop's misplaced faith in his offense.

He's shooting 50/46/93 during our good 14-5 stretch. That's efficiency we haven't had from our backup SG in maybe 16 years. especially over the last few years when Manu was neck and neck with post-achilles Kobe ...

He's unguardable. Having him and Bertans is deadly. Also Mills plays much better since he's playing with Beli

I like this year's team. They seem to be together and going in the same direction with some new guys getting better (esp. DW).

If they can improve a little bit on the road and beat some upper echelon teams on the road, this can be a fun year with a chance to be effective in the playoffs. A lot of people were thinking a lottery pick was all that was going on here. Not so.

Beli is a good bench player. Would be nice if we had a decent defender off the bench so that we could hide him. Unfourtanetly fatty mills is at defense as well.

If Subway ever creates a position for sandwich makers to travel the Earth teaching other people, he's right there.

Beli is as streaky as they come and is on fire currently. He'll be a breath of putrid air when he cools off.

There are at least a dozen posts from you saying Belinelli is crap and the Spurs got robbed, that he's useless, etc... so you are doing an 180 on Beli the same you did on Kawhi?

    Very credible poster here...

Tbh if Belli were a good defender, he would be a starter somewhere in the league and making waaay more money than he is now. You can't have it all with a bench player. I'm just happy that I don't have to watch a player refuse to shoot wide open 3s all game like other role players we`ve had.

I love Beli. He must be a pain in the ass to cover because the guy never stops moving around, I hope the young guys can see how he moves around the court, his cuts, etc... Mostly though I like that he doesn't play with his tail between his legs, or gets stuck in his own head, even from before the first stint with the spurs when he was on Chicago and ting on the nets in the post season or when the clippers were knocking us out on that back to back attempt, he just doesn't play scared, if our other big dogs had his big ball tendencies we'd have a few more wins and a decent chance in the post.

I agree with the poster above, he is just a few athletic genes short of being a full time starter and he's a guy that every team would benefit from having in one way or another.
