Not one of Mel Gibson’s better roles
Anyone else watch this show on Amazon?
It's very rare to see a show that makes outlandish look like the every day norm. The humor is subtle enough I had to rewind on some of it.
Politician dad (Locke from "Lost") makes his quiet, mental, guitar playing traumatized son do covert overseas missions. 8.5/10. Would be higher but it tends to move at a snail's pace many times.

GB never burned a town's citizens alive. That bit of Hollywood taints if not ruins it for me.
Braveheart is rife with historical inaccuracies, but is considered a 5 star movie. I've seen it probably well over 10 times. Today's Hollywood ruins pretty much everything OTOH.
I give Braveheart a pass just because there is a lot of myth surrounding that era with less easily verifiable facts. Plus it's actually a good movie with lasting effects on action movies to this day. The Patriot felt more like a paint-by-numbers attempt to cash in on the epic historical film craze at the time.
I think there's a considerable bounty of well-known history, tbh. It could've been done w/o the false history (such as king getting to bed peasants' wives).
I don't disagree, Mel Gibson admitted to pulling that part out of his ass. But I still like the movie.

Started this the other day and am through 7 episodes. Pretty good show. Has kind of a Fargo vibe to it. It's not going to be for everyone though.

Finished this over the weekend. It was good but I think I would have liked it better if I didn't binge it.
7/10 but I think a lot would give it 0/10.
