I despise Trump and his ideology, but there shouldn't have been a story here, and it's yet another example that Trump apologists can point to and say, "See! Fake news!" I watched the unedited vid, expecting bag teenagers doing bag teenage things to the Native American, but that's not what happened. Some street preachers were taunting the kids, the kids responded with their school chant, the Native American was fearing something was going to go down, and started a peace song to try and diffuse the situation.
The Left has continued to play their political cards badly through the media ever since Black Lives Matter. It's why they lost their once loyal Midwest working class base. A laid off steel worker in Ohio doesn't want to hear about what "his party" is going to do for immigrants, the LGBTQ community, and read Liberal public figures demonizing white men and talking about white privilege on twitter. And this kind of irresponsible reporting just further reaffirms, in the Trump follower's mind, that the media is out to get Trump and "white men" in general, translating into more lost votes for democrats. They won't beat Trump in 2020 simply pandering to the coasts.
^^^Oh, and the right wing media peddles just as much, if not more so, "fake news" than the left wing media. It was pretty irritating watching them willingly strawman Ocasio-Cortez's tax plan ("She wants to take 70% of your paycheck!") as socialist, when in fact it was the same tax plan we had when "America was great."

Also those of you calling this manipulation by the media would do well to note that it's the MSM who have done the legwork in correcting the narrative and amplifying the real context.
This all started as a viral Twitter video. The video went viral (because of social media), became a story (covered by mainstream media) and was subsequently given its additional context (by mainstream media). Without the MSM in this situation all you have is the original video and a bunch of social media commentary without context.
