The Spurs could hypothetically make a push for 3 or 4, but they'll probably choke away several winnable games, resulting in a 6 or 7.
    Like tonight. Welcome home Tony!

Could have really used last night’s game to stay secure in the standings. Every time our guys have a chance to move up or stay safe, they’ve blown it. Now we’re in a 3 way tie for 8th....or I guess 6th if your glass is half full

I don't think it's crazy to think Spurs can be top 4. It's the fact that they're inconsistent that's the issue. Clips are falling, Lakers are ed w/out Lebron, Rockets are injured, and we have a better record against Portland head to head. Look how close we are to 4th. It really isn't "crazy."

Yes it is. There are at least 6 teams with better talent overall, plus LeBron team if he is healthy. Yes, Rockets are injured... and have a better record already.
DDR who knows what with him, we might have seen the best already, LA can he keep up this level of intensity? Beli will start missing shots, Bryn already has...

    6th seed is the ceiling

Probably right, but not a crazy notion.

And there’s something to be said about that for sure. That’s what’s so frustrating about games like last night. They could really make some noise but they’re getting setbacks from some very average/below average teams.

Everyone is losing those games. It’s a tight west and no dominant teams. If you watch other teams they are doing the exact same things. Frustrating for sure but that’s the nature of the league.

I’m more concerned with the consistent double digit deficits to start games.

It feels like they're always crawling out of a hole from slow starts.

I’d like to see some more fast starts myself. Or just compe ive starts. It’s like the other team gets a 10 point head start nearly every game

Spurs could have challenged for the 1 seed if DeMar's mental health issues didn't take over, unfortunately..it's only basketball, though, hope he gets better..

Because the Starting unit is not that good. Actually, how many worse starting 5 are there in the West? Four?
I don't mean individual players, I mean "unit to start a game". The Second unit, or bench overall, is probably the best in the league right now and usually outscores every other bench quite comfortably.. So here we go, slow start...

True, and I think that has a lot to do with DDR's garbage play. If LMA starts aggressive and DDR plays like his usual self, these starts will be a lot better.

D-Roze has been killing this team with his poor play. I’m definitely not ready to give up on him or say he’s useless or anything but he’s gotta at least show up on the facilitating side of things if his shot isn’t falling. Our guys can live with poor shooting if he’s at least getting others involved but he can’t be disappearing like this

Yes. He's shown he can get a great playmaker. If he can be explosive again and aggressive on the drives, he'll open up the starting unit spacing and get confidence back.

don’t be too over confident in playing Denver..they are good team this year.
Playoffs could be a whole different story for this young and inexperienced team. Who knows if they can deal with postseason pressure...We'll see.

Playoffs???? What season in the future are we talking about? This years team could really get embarrASSed in the first round. Golden State Warriors 4 game sweep by a 300 point margin.
