There was some talk that he may medically retire instead of giving it another shot.
If he is medically cleared and back to normal then that would be HUGE for the OL next year. Can you imagine a healthy Hudson and Angilau manning the middle with Shack? Talk about road graders. Cosmi, Angilau, Shack, Hudson and Kerstetter/Okafor is better Oline than they had this year, IMO.

I still dont entirely get the head coaches relationship with these guys who are supposedly great trainers and have an association with a shoe or camps and shoes and God knows what else. This is a big game that has $ involved because college football is so extraordinarily popular (guilty as charged for watching). And then add the absolute nutty obsession with the perception and looks of a certain athletic shoe... a mess. Oh yes. I forgot the HS football coaches and their perspectives, which are not always in synch.
It can be hard to pick between the bs on twitter just because the bias is so blatant that it’s hard to get a clear picture. Since those twitter posts this morning there seems to be some inaccuracies with my initial post. The person that posted the conversation screen shot was not the athletes father. I’m still fuzzy on who posted the conversation but I know it was posted and it appears to be true because the athlete later messaged the person who posted the screenshot. The DM to the would be “whistleblower” was the athlete asking him to delete the screenshots. The whistleblower then posted the direct message that the kid sent. The whistleblower is an A&M guy but since his initial post everyone has jumped in and added their two cents. Sorry if the description is hard to follow or read, typing on phone.
Id post screenshots of the twitter stuff but idk how. Also, very much appreciative of the information that TFloss shares with us and if this type of information seems to veer too much from the actual theme or intent of the thread then I will gladly refrain from posting “rumor mill” type of junk.
Thanks to the the rest of y’all as well for all the great information everyone else brings. I check this thread multiple times daily and it’s cool to be able to converse with people that have realistic perceptions and opinions of the team we follow.

If he commits to Texas he is going to be a huge boost to the 2020 class, getting the beef is extremely important in this class. We need about 5 quality linemen in this class.
Majors is in. Lindberg is coming too. IMO, OL is going to be the strength of this 2020 class. Which only helps with Zach Evans, potentially ending up here.
