He is going to get his max contract. Dennis is in so far over his head that he has no choice but to advise Kawhi to do this. Everybody knows that Kawhi isn't re-signing with Toronto (except the Raps front office ) I have no idea what happened between him and the Spurs but the bottom line is the Spurs NEVER even offered him the supermax contract so just by default his uncle cost Kawhi 40 million. Add on that his genius idea of trying to strong-arm the Spurs all while talking them and dragging their name through the mud in the media failed miserably to get Kawhi in LA, there's an additional 40 million dollars. I know people lie and say that money doesnt matter to Kawhi, but 80 million dollars is a load of money to cost somebody. Can you imagine if Kawhi got hurt right before he signed his next big contract, Dennis would be the poster child for worst manager of all time. Honestly if Kawhi tore his ACL right now, would the Clippers or the Lakers offer him a max deal? Only the Raptors would offer him the max contract he wants and Kawhi would be stuck in the one place where he feels more miserable than when he was with us, Toronto. Plus he would still be $40 million light. Only way this ends well for Dennis is if he gets his nephew to LA.
When did he ever talk the Spurs? It was the other way around... He said face to face everything would be fine, then when they're not there spurs are throwing shade in the media and implying things that weren't true...

Imagine if it were the Spurs players and organization that were quiet to the public, and Kawhi and management giving interviews and throwing shade, ppl would commend the Spurs for being classy, and Bash Kawhi

I was talking about Dennis talking the Spurs not Kawhi. He (Dennis) failed at his negotiations for the supermax and then he started trash talking the Spurs through Jabari and Chris Carter (once again Dennis not Kawhi) and then Dennis tried to strong arm the Spurs into only trading Kawhi to LA and again that didn't work bc we sent him to Toronto. Dennis will have cost Kawhi 80 million dollars, which is a ton of money to cost somebody bc Kawhi next contract will be in LA and for 4 years 160 million. That's why Dennis has advised Kawhi to be so careful bc if Kawhi were to get hurt now, Dennis would lose everything and be the poster child for worst manager of all time. If Kawhi tears his ACL, who still offers him the max besides Toronto?

Why is Nephew still faking the injury even though he is out of SA?
I know. He's had way to much rest.

We had an insane record without Duncan several times... Doesn't lessen his greatness or impact... Not sure why we look at it any different with Kawhi
    Dont mix things up.
Duncan is not a mute .
Duncan is greatest PF ever, mute isnt best SF ever.
Young Duncan was a real FMVP in his second season, Kiwi was a paper FMVP.

Nobody talks about him in the MVP conversation.

The All-Star break is considered short rest and like playing a back to back for Ms. Leonard, tbh.

Sure, but how it would be a safe bet to offer the max to a guy that needs to rest every 1 or 2 games after a sabbatical season?
Hope he finishes the season like Kobe in your avi.

The Raps are so insanely (and understandably) desperate to keep him they’ll do anything to keep him happy. He could take a month off and they’d be okay with it.

The supermax was a nonissue. Kawhi wanted to leave. He was a top 3 player before the "injury" and Spurs would've offered it no question. He didn't care. The supermax is not the incentive it once was. Players are becoming better at marketing themselves. Even down syndrome Kawitter and his camp knew that media would be on his side for the most part, he was still a really good player, and, with the right market, he can make money. The bottom line is he wanted out and did a job of expressing that (which involved blatant lies, throwing shade from his camp, and strong-arming the organization that created him and made him a superstar).

Short bus seatblelts should be a Jaboodi dubs commercial.

In case you didn't know, they do commercial spoofs; (i.e. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ypX-zYB1ko)

You might as well just quote 99% of this thread. It's no surprise fans are mad at the way Kawhi left. I'm not stating anything surprising here btw. This was well do ented throughout the entire year, and all the way leading up to the trade. I'm not making things up, but hey if quoting the same over and over makes your day, then by all means, do your thing.

Thats what I think, it seems you have issues with honest thoughts.
Go to the Raptors forum if this is too much for you.
All this time and you are surprised for an anti-mute comment.
