I've had guys try to convince me that Pop is the GOAT or close to it, but now without Duncan, Robinson back in the day, Ginobili/Parker, he's not producing. He still has all-stars on his team but the results are just... meh?

Pop is a great f'n coach. The guy has done it without HOFers. Done what? He's won or been compe ive on games they shouldn't. Anyone name a coach that's won a le without HOFers. The only one i know of was Larry Brown with that 04 Pistons team. (Huge, dominant defensive team.) Big difference is that everyone knows great coaches demand respect like a boss would. That in my opinion is key. When players think they run that's when coaches get fired. Pop is one of the GOAT's no doubt.

I mean... If you have Aldridge and then say "let's gather the tiest defensive roster possible" this roster will be very similar to the one we have. Our 2 stars don't shoot the 3s in today's leagues. And we are still somewhat defending and on pace to make the playoffs.
