so tuff
quick, somebody give him a testosterone pill. his s are starting to stain his shirt.
today he's gloating over the continued blood bath in journalism.
Like a good fascist, he hates anybody, anything that doesn't suck his , any and all dissent, in which of course, the security/police state concurs.
Oh go away boutons. Nobody cares what you say.
He’s a Low value poster in that case.
Used to be better, but I don't begrudge having other priorities.
Still, what a en pussy.
The cost of putting yourself out there on an anonymous board is zip, but he still shies away from it.
I didn't think he had an edge in 2016. That's why I said "that's 2015 talking"
The in bent always has the edge since he will have had 4 years to campaign for re-election and, unless the GOP decides to run someone against him, will automatically skip the primaries and the discovery process that goes with them. Have we learned anything new about Trump? I'd say no. He said "grab them by the pussy" and won. He was a reality TV guy, an orange one, who regularly feuded with people like Rosie O'Donnell. Those who voted for him won't suddenly vote for some liberal democrat just because Trump tried a power move.
Asking me to speculate is pointless. Why do you care what an anonymous poster thinks will happen in 2 years?
if kamala harris is the lefts best then yes djt will be back in the WH come 2020 because he never left. have yall ever seen harris questioning while on the hill? that idiot is all about playing "what-ifs" and virtue signaling her ass off. ugh i hate the fact that i've wasted time listening to that re during testimonies.
Of course. But it leaves Trump able to say "I did everything I could". It plays to his base and further incites their conviction that "liberals" don't give a about border security.
IMO, the problem with that analysis is that he'll get a border security bill from the Dems that does not include wall funding, and he and Mitch are going to be on the hook for passing/not passing it.
That's going to be another fight in 3 weeks.
You are assuming Trump really gives a about a wall actually getting built. This is just about cynical people on both sides playing to their political base. He can sign the spending bill and then invoke emergency funding.
https://www.theatlantic.com/politics...utdown/581215/What’s interesting is not just that the approval rate is finally budging, but why—and with whom. Trump has long been happy to withstand the opprobrium of the press, elites, and much of the country. As my colleague Ron Brownstein has demonstrated, the president has opted for political tactics meant to shore up his base. This is strategically dubious—it’s hard to win reelection with 40 percent of the country—but it has been consistent. It has shown some success, too. While Trump’s overall approval is low, his standing among Republicans has remained very strong.
Shutting down the government over the wall was a part of that philosophy. The administration concluded that the wall was such an important issue for his base that it was worth whatever political blowback that might come from other quarters to get it done. As Ann Coulter, who effectively shamed him into the shutdown in December, recently put it, “He is dead in the water if he doesn’t build that wall. Dead, dead, dead.”
In practice, however, weakened standing among that base accounts for Trump’s slumping approval. The NPR/NewsHour/Marist poll finds that Trump’s approval is down among suburban men, white evangelicals, and men without a college degree, all key segments of his cons uency. And while 83 percent of Republicans in that poll still support him, his net approval has slipped 10 points.
In the Politico/Morning Consult poll, Trump’s disapproval increased among evangelicals, non-college-educated voters, and those who voted for Trump in 2016, compared with a poll in early January. Meanwhile, the number who blamed Trump for the shutdown increased (slightly) among all three groups.
Interestingly, support among all three demographics in the Politico/Morning Consult poll for the wall has remained essentially constant. They haven’t changed their minds about the need for the wall; they’re just losing their faith in Trump and are fed up with the shutdown.
Nevertheless, the slippage in backing even among Trump’s base since the start of the shutdown calls into question the wisdom of the president’s calculation that the wall was an effective pander to his core supporters. It’s not just that Trump’s belief that Democrats would cave was out of touch with reality—even more dangerously for him, he was out of touch with the base.

Polls were wrong before. Why do people here act like 2016 never happened and that he was the favored candidate when Hillary was given 98% chance to win?
All these precursors have to lead to something, but pretending polls and MSM articles have a clue is useless. The portion of the country that doesn't reside in MSM hubs will decide. The liberal states are already given.
Do you have a problem with this tweet, Chris?
Explain.
Why are you acting like 2018 never happened? Republicans had a wildly favorable map and got their asses absolutely handed to them. Trump will lose in 2020 regardless of his opponent. I’ll bet any amount of money on it.
I don’t expect a no-take having pussy like you to take me up, but anyone willing to put $ on trump, I’m happy to take your money.
I actually *do* think he doesn't give a . But like you said, it's a big egg on his face when it comes to his base, that's why he's going to play the tough guy game. Hopefully he wont overplay his hand like the last time.
Both sides?
This is about Trump pretending to live up to a campaign promise he never intended to actually implement. He waited until the exact first moment that a wall couldn't be funded to demand it be funded. E.g., when senate Republicans were going home for Christmas with Pelosi and the Democrats about to take the House. He had three months to demand it be funded via a fiscal year 2019 reconciliation bill and there was nothing the Democrats could have done to stop it, just like there was nothing they could do to stop Trump's tax bill in fiscal year 2018. All he wanted was to pick a fight he could not win so he could play victim to his white nationalist base, and he didn't give a who he hurt in the process since middle and lower class federal workers mean nothing to him. He obviously never cared about illegal immigration since he loves hiring them.
Your prediction isn't worth the time you took to type it. Really, what in' good is it?
notorious welching site.. no one ever pays a bet here.
