26-6-3 on 8-13 shooting in 25 minutes..
Was this his career high?
Yes, in points.
Thanks.![]()
He would have gone for 35 if not for foul trouble.
Pop would have subbed him out before that. Heck, with 3 fouls, DWhite didn't even see the court in the entire 3rd quarter.
Nah, White was subbed when he comitted his 4th.
I wonder what trade the Spurs would have taken for Kawhi had they known White would become this good..
That's it, boys. I'm getting his jersey. Such a likeable player.
That’s alright if y’all are y to the party..come on in we don’t bite..
OH, yeah, I forgot. Thanks.
Many Spurs fans knew he could be this good, that's why many of us were higher on the Sixers or Clippers deals than the Toronto one. Of course you never know with these type of things but if PATFO didn't see it as a possibility, I don't know what to say.
The real scary proposition is thinking what would have happened with White if Murray never got injured.
Or if Manu hadn't retired![]()
Come on, man. Can you honestly say you knew White would be THIS good? You’re starting to sound like Apalisoc_9 with his whole “called it from day 1” with Nephew
Yessir. I pointed out last spring that DWhite had played fewer minutes on the big team than any recent Spurs first round pick, even though he looked plenty good in those few minutes. There are still probably plenty of ST posters who want Murray to be the PG - at least there were plenty until last week. I just hope Pop understands which Spur needs to be the guy running the show.
Several of us were saying it.
Also. The funny thing is that with Murray healthy, Manu still playing and White still being part of the rotation the Spurs are probably better than what they are right now, but I would rather take the things as have unfolded because I don't trust Pop still playing White with Murray and Manu a available.
And I sold him short, tbh.
I noticed how last year he had "it" and was perplexed that he did not get some burn-they seemed like they needed some"it"last year
Now the real scary proposition is when DJM comes back next year and is paired with White.
Those two are going to be fun to watch over the next couple of years.
He'd be given Patty's towel and old seat at the end of the bench.
Troof!
Trade that got Murray, imo. I don't want him messing with White's role, minutes, growth, etc. Murray wishes he could grow up to be Derrick White.
When can the Spurs offer him an extension? Lock up now long term.
