Due to Rudy's health concerns, this new big three may not last long, but it is the current de facto state of the team. Spurs really need to move DeMar. The team is simply better without him gumming up the offense, missing shots and going awol. Plus his value will only slide.

D White is a big improvement over Kyle Anderson or Danny Green, who were #s 2 and 3 last year in terms of minutes. I'm hoping that after the all star game, White is averaging more mpg than Forbes or Gay.

Just surprising how Derozan's performance has fallen off a cliff after the Raptors game.

Really, the Spurs just need to find a way to be as successful at finding and developing front-court players as they have been at back-court guys. I ed for years about them getting some young guards on the team, and when they finally got around to it, it was mad successful. I have zero idea how they'd go about replacing Aldridge and Gay, but I can't count them out. , maybe they'll draft the replacements for both in June.

DJ-White-Stanley Johnson-Bertans-Aldridge, Gay sixth man still seems to lack the requisite firepower/closer to propel them over the Harden or Curry/Durant-led teams of the west. Western teams need the redundancy of at least two closers to raise their floor to where a conference finals berth becomes plausible. Since this thread is about flipping Derozan, who would you like in return that would fulfill that missing closer role? Also, keep in mind Aldridge is already 33 years of age.

Where did Stanley Johnson come from? Are you saying trade DeRozan for him? Or is that a signing?

I noted that a couple of weeks ago. It's weird how many duds they've come up with in the front court.

    Mahinmi
    LJC
    Cady
    Ryan Richards

All of those guys had some degree of talent, but just couldn't click. The only draftees that have had any success seem to be the ones they left in Europe: Splitter and Scola (with Houston). Maybe that's why Mulinitov isn't here?

not to mention cady and ryan richards were late 2nd round fliers, and not guys they heavily invested in or were banking on.

there's also tiago splitter who worked out well for us. blair was decent for a few seasons. they want to get something out of jakob. milutinov is overseas. they seem to like metu.

Guess I'm the only one who still has faith in DD. He's been in a little slump which pretty much every player in every sport at some point goes through. Like LMA, DD will work through it and come out even better than he was. One thing he has been doing is getting everyone else involved so he's putting up good assists numbers and almost nightly he gets 10 rebounds more or less. I'm not willing to go hang myself or shoot myself in the head just yet. Anyway, JMHO

You're not alone. I have this feeling that his recent struggle is part of the transition correcting his shooting form. I saw Chip focused on DDR during their warmups in Sac, hours prior to game.

I don't know how many miracles Chip can make.

We haven't seen his work yet on Dejounte Murray.

Lonnie Walker might have an improved stroke at 3.
White and Forbes were already high percentage shooters in college.

Agreed. Not giving up on DeMar. He didn't give up on the Spurs when we were getting blown out so I don't understand how Spurfans could toss him aside, tbh.

So long as the next contract is <= 2 X MLE annually , I'll be very happy with that. Is he a superstar, no. Is he a pretty good player who's kept trying and committed to the team, so far, so good.

I've been saying that for a wile. He hit his emotional peek during that game and it has drained him. That game was game 6 of the NBA finals for him. The next Raptors game will be game 7
