Normally I defend Popovich, but what the was that? I understand giving guys a chance to learn, but that lineup at the end was ass.
Pop should get an F for this 4th quarter stretch alone. Also for supposedly having so much corporate knowledge, Mills is a low IQ guy. He’s lucky he has a lot of team spirit because his basketball play on the court is so inconsistent.

Can't wait for Pop's post game interview. Interesting to see him go out and embrace Davis. Hopefully he did some recruiting.
For sure. One of Pop's most annoying traits. Likes to put the blame on others and never himself.
This istoday's NBA where any team can score 30 points in a hurry thanks to 3-pt chucking. Let's also not act like Pondexter and Metu are NBA players. Team also had no PG out there during that run.
Waiting for that B+ grade for Pop, tbh.
"Liked that Pop didn't panic and put the starters back in early. Not his fault his garbage time lineup couldn't deliver".
nah this was on the players. Mills, Forbes, Pondexter, Metu, Poeltl should be good enough to close out a 20 point lead against the Pelicans 3rd stringers. Pop should've called a time out when the Pels went on a run and cut the lead to 8 though
Pop gave his guys the rope to hang themselves. then pulled it out at the end. No problem. Learning experience.
"Guys is Monty still in the Pelicans staff? Time to make this game look semi decent. Get in there, Pondexter."
This is the same NBA where teams are putting 40 pts quarter on the regular, tbh.
Lol Mills though.
So much corporate knowledge when he's on the court.
Exactly. All the people blaming Pop but that was on the players for being trash! But yeah he definitely should have called a timeout.
Two of those guys are non-NBA players and Poeltl was ass all night. Mills was also on the bench for the majority of the Pelicans run. Lead was only 15 with 4:30 to go when he put that lineup in, which is basically a 5 point lead intoday's NBA.
We only won by 5?!?! What in the actual ? I switched the game with like 8 minutes left to check out the Warriors/Lakers
The Spurs had the same players they use for their back-up PG out there. They run with that guard tandem quite a bit. You also don't have to tell me teams can score quickly. But the Spurs playing bad offense and not using any time while also leaving guys open wasn't excusable. This was garbage time, but the guys who came in played unrealistically bad. Pop stick with them because, how can you really expect them to lose a 20-point lead so fast?
If Gasol were in the game instead of Jakob, he'd be getting killed rather than Pop. It's sad how predictable the channels are on this site.
So should Pop play all of his guys until the whistle? How much time has to be left to where it's not Pop's fault when Gay gets hurt?
Forbes block looked clean too.
Forbes block looked clean too.
Gasol was fine tonight and I can understand why he's the back-up instead of Poeltl (who looks like right now). However, the Spurs not milking clock and taking bad shots while not defending the 3-pt line is something the Pop of old would call timeouts for even if the team were up 30.
Forbes was garbage without the starters tbh. And Pop should have called time when the lead was cut to 8. This probably shook the players’ confidence than taught especially getting pulled out not doing an NBA job. Bad coaching on the last 5 mins tbh.
Really not looking forward to the RRT unless they make a trade.
