It's amazing how other teams get free agents or make trades for decent players on the cheap, but we don't do anything except sign old, washed up stars that are looking for a retirement home... We used to be good/great... But as with everything in life, nothing lasts forever... Our FO hasn't kept up with the times... They have become comfortable just being in cruise control

RC/Pop are elite in this league.

I guess the only issue in last seasons was they were too loyal to players that didn't show on court they deserved it.

"Well, Pau was willing to wait and tried to help us to get CP3...just give him a massive contract" "Patty is our emotional leader...just give him a massive contract"..."LMA had his worst playoffs round vs Warriors, he asked for a trade...just extend him instead of looking for younger/better stars in the league"

Again, PATFO is elite. One of the best FO in NBA business.

But I laugh so hard at the new/young executives behind them that will take control in a few years.

Those f*cking idiots were caring that much about owners' money over getting talent in offseason.

The young guys on Spurs FO think that being conservative and cheap will put them in a good spot in San Antonio. Sadly they aren't wrong.

The absolute whiny ery from you re s is hilarious. If you aren't depressed over Aldridge, you're whining about not trading for some scrub that doesn't move the needle. Get a grip ya ing drama queen.

They WERE elite... That's like saying MJ is still elite based on his past

So much of the whining on this site is just adjustment to life without half of Fame level talents. In five years we're gonna be reminiscing about having guys like LMA sand DeRozan.

It's seems like since Pop has gotten older he's become more loyal to his players. I love what the Spurs organization has done in the past but I wouldn't be opposed to new management in the future. I do think what the Clippers are doing is risky but I saw a few teams cut deals that made me wonder why we haven't moved.

I haven't actually seen you say anything positive about the team tbh. Like way for the front office to find and develop Derrick White. Way to choose Bertans over fathead. Way to turn LMA into a leader and a great teammate (after years of being a whiny diva). Way to turn Murray into an All NBA defender after he was lousy on D on college.

You can still bash the Spurs, QP and Cun signings were awful. Gasol is a broken down albatross. Forbes has regressed to his horrible defensive self. But mix in some positivity with your criticism.

    on the other hand:
The Spurs are 32-24. In the West. In the first year after their superstar bailed on them, also TP and Manu left, also Murray got hurt, also it turns out that Derozen kinda sucks, also White was hurt for much of the year.
How is this team still even compe ive?

There is no need proving anything to you. You're a whiny who won't change your mind regardless of the pile of evidence against your re takes.

This thread is enlightening and caused a paradigm shift in the way we view the Spurs' front office.

    Not.
