Trump will still be a developer when he steps down.
Do you have a problem with Trump using political power to enlarge his own estate?
No ethical issues there?
No possibility of compromising the judgment of the candidate, if elected?

My guess is many of his followers admire and envy him for it.
Corruption as a selling point.

What major news outlets?
You never gave the board a list of your go to sources as MSM is hogwash.
I bet he never even checked.
The ratio of claims of MSM blackouts that are wrong approaches one.

Did the Obama's write their 65M dollar book yet?
You're evading the questions. That's not the same as using a campaign to leverage business deals. Doing so can leave the candidate susceptible to outside influence. Similarly, writing a book about one's life is not the same as using political power to directly enrich oneself.
By refusing to divest from the family company, Trump is doing exactly that: just look at how much money goes directly to the Trump Hotel at the old Post Office and Mar-a-Lago, look at the Chinese patents awarded to Ivanka and Qatari investments in Kushner's company.
None of that gives you pause?
There is the very least the appearance that the Trump/Kushners are beholden to foreign powers or that their official judgment might be compromised because those decisions might have a direct or indirect bearing on their business.
Shouldn't Presidents do their best to avoid that?
DarrinS, quick as ever with handwavy evasions and negligent to direct replies.
Maybe he should work harder at it. He's lost about 1B since running for president.
Link? Does that include pass through income, or are we still blind to that?
Whether or not his grift is working is bedside the point.
You're still ducking my questions, btw.
Orange man bad. We know
You refuse to back up your own claim and you can't answer my question.
Unsurprising.
Yes - because he openly provided his income tax records -
thanks!
I was addressing you.
Are you afraid to answer my questions?
If Trump is using the presidency to increase his wealth, he sucks at it.
I think Oprah is wealthier than him now.![]()
So, you'd be cool if that weren't the case, if Trump were enriching himself directly?
also, it deserves pointing out in this connection that even if Trump is losing money overall, that does not mean that the federal dollars directed specifically to his properties are not enriching him -- income is income.
