Law pertaining to 21 year old ... ok to buy a gun. Not ok to buy a gun for the purpose of giving to someone who cannot legally purchase one.


If you said a 21 year old can give a gun to an 18 year old you'd have been correct but you wanted to conflate legal transactions with illegal ones, so you instead said the 21 year old can buy the gun and give it to the 18 year old. While the 21 year old could buy a gun for himself, and eventually give it away, he cannot buy it with the intent of giving it to the 18 year old IF the 18 year old cannot legally purchase a firearm. If the 18 year old can legally purchase the firearm himself it's a moot point.

These are not subtle nuances, they are the backbone of gun laws.
