Siakam 44 and 10, OG 22 and 5 Raptors win without Kawhi. At this point I would have taken Siakam rather than getting DDR.
    I don't think that's how trades work.

Raptors were never gonna give Siakam or OG. We need to find our own Siakam through the draft.
Truth is if we got Siakam, Pop wouldn't have given him the freedom he has in Toronto

Once he signs the max contract he probably won’t be such a hypochondriac, maybe...

Yeah, it's a good chance they'll be blowing it up this summer.

If they do blow it up, they'll be doing so with one less albatross of a contract another team was foolish to trade for.

They have Gasols $26 million contract and Lowry making $33 million a year. So no they don't have one less albatross of a contract, they have the same amount as before except now they have no draft pick.

I don't know how any team can be REALLY comfortable signing Nephew to a long term contract - four or five years in the future. What happens next year and the next four years? Will he continue to sit out for "load management" or "rest"?

Will there be a time where he can more or less get through an entire season AND playoffs (lets just say play in 85% of the games)? The 2018 year is the third season in a row where the playoffs were not completed and/or numerous games were missed. Number 2 does not want to have a Victor O happen to him when he is on the brink of cashing in (or cashing out?)

The only focus I believe is getting a signature on a max contract that is fully guaranteed. That contract will be likely signed in California. You can't trust this guy to be there for you. Still he wants to be paid $30-40MM per season. $20MM was not enough to secure nephew's loyalty to an organization. Steve Ballmer has money to burn and he will burn it in July.

Not until he burns or sucks playing for the Lakers. Until then he’s a martyr.

Lots to choose from. Like the raptor one personally. Better than I was expecting.

It seems to me that kawhi is content with 1 ring and fmvp and feels like that's enough to cement his legacy and put him in the hof. I don't think he gives a what people think, and he will continue to pull his shenanigans, if and when any of the LA teams sign him long-term. Expect to see more load management and not sitting on the bench. And if the LA media and fans bash him for it....Expect more of running away to his uncle while he requests a trade and recovers from a mysterious injury.

Kawhi is now like a spoiled child that has figured out how to work and hustle his parents outta more and more money. Kawhi is now looking out for himself and his familias future. Fakers and Clippers are taking a big risk if they sign the mute.

How much is NB paying him vs what Nike offered. Wonder why Nike didn't match the NB offer?

Oh there will be some desperate owner, team or GM that steps up with a max contract. That's always been the case in the past and I suspect the same in the future.

It's not. Right now, BBREF has him at 16% probability, and their model is scary accurate. Their 'line' has almost no one above it who isn't in, and almost no one below it who is. He hasn't even scored 8000 points yet, and he's almost 28.

It might be that NB promised a signature shoe and jordan did not want to or took too long to give him one. I don't blame them, chris paul, melo, griffin and westbrook sneakers all sit on outlets and don't sell as well as they should. Kawhi isn't going to do any better

If #2 left the NBA he wouldn't be a shoe-in for the HOF because of 2014. I wish no prolonged injury on anyone and despite my disappointment in him, I hope he has more years to play. He has seen some bad things in his life, things that money can't change. Still....really hope to see him get beat in the playoffs! If GSW and Raps match up in the Finals, basketball will end very early in this household.
