That "country" blues, had a few men record a few records but the first legit "STAR" was Texan Blind Lemon Jefferson who first recorded in 1925.

Respect to Joe Louis. He actually showed a lot of restraint when he fought. There's a lot of heat-of-the-moment type that happens in combat sports in order to secure a victory. And there were a lot of examples of Louis backing off an opponent when they were obviously about to go down. There was no hovering over an opponent trying to get one last shot on somebody who's down on a knee, he was quick to go back to his corner, etc. All in an era when he probably didn't need to.
