That's the problem with Socialists, they want to tell everyone how to live. I think most common sense Americans are in favor of less pollution and recycling without Federal Government intervention.
Solar forcing of climate:
The Sun may have contributed as much as 66% of the observed 20th century warming, and perhaps more.
-Willie Soon
"There is a much stronger correlation with total solar irradiance (sunshine) and the temperature curve than there is for CO2 and the temperature curve."
That's the problem with Socialists, they want to tell everyone how to live. I think most common sense Americans are in favor of less pollution and recycling without Federal Government intervention.
From 2005 to 2015, Soon had received over $1.2 million from the fossil fuel industry, while failing to disclose that conflict of interest in most of his work.[9]
However, that's not a completely legitimate reason to dismiss him. Does he have any peer-reviewed papers? He's also not a climate scientist, he's an aerospace engineer. This is an example of: https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Ultracrepidarianism
"Keep yer hands off my leaded gasoline."
- 1970s Patriotic American not wanting the gubmint to "tell him how to live."
Turns out removing lead from the environment improved the health of everyone.
Climate change has been happening for millions of years. I'm not seeing a crisis tho.
if you don't see any problem then there must not be one.
97% of climate scientists do. All bought off by Soros?
no, it isn't profitable.
97% think it is a "crisis"?
Conservative should really welcome green reform. They fear China as an "emerging threat" to our hegemony, and China is by far the biggest offender right now in carbon emissions, so if we make a collective effort to curb our mass consumption of cheap, Chinese plastic crap, it'll reduce emissions (less Chinese factories making the , reduction in Chinese purchasing power, less cars, less pollution) while hitting China's economy hard. Win/win, no?
Throw away your iPhone
Apple boycott - I'm definitely on board with that.
Would you pay more for an American iPhone?
https://www.ametsoc.org/ams/index.cf...limate-change/The ongoing warming will increase risks and stresses to human societies, economies, ecosystems, and wildlife through the 21st century and beyond, making it imperative that society respond to a changing climate.
Sounds pretty important.
What phone do you use, Chris?
Haven't bought a new phone in 5 years, and no plans ever to buy another one. The majority of goods I buy are used.
It's an old iphone5c for my business, but the battery is so I'm about to replace it.
I'm still on my galaxy note 3 from 2013.
I was being sarcastic. Get whatever phone you want. Earth will survive.
With an American phone?
Buy American, hire American.
Sure it will, but that's not what we're talking. We're talking about the impact climate change will have on humans. The scientific consensus is that it's an imperative to address it. Are they wrong?
So which American phone are you buying?
I admire Chris's spirit, but nobody really wants to buy American. They like their 100.00 televisions too much. Hope Chris is rocking a 70s Zenith or Westinghouse to watch the Spurs and Rangers, though.
