Whoops totally did that wrong. I wanted to say the Spurs play like defense doesn't matter. Especially around the arc. Spurs Players too often try to guard the lane or crowd the middle, which leaves their man to get open and knock a 3 down. How often do we get steals? No very much. Pop is senile to not play Rudy. His D is good and he can score too.

Rose didn't take a few years, he had more major injuries three years in a row. ACL injuries you can come back from but it takes a full season usually to get your confidence up and your fitness. Murray will come back well, but just not month one of the season.

exactly, some studs believe the Spurs have always won because of their players' high IQ, but the only reason for the winning seasons was that we always had more atg talent on the roster than 99% of the teams (D-Rob, DUNCAN, Manu, Kawhi, Parker).
Perhaps Pop forgot how to coach and control a game when he had elite vets like Parker, Manu, and Duncan controlling the pace. This allowed pop to concentrate and look for other avenues to beat a team. We don't have pg. He is injured for the season. We have White in and out due to an ongoing injury. Mills is not pg and played often next to Manu. So we have no one atm that controls a game and calls plays. And Pop hasn't had that for over 10 years.

Nah. This team would still be in really great shape if it hadn't been blindsided by Nephew. Giving up Danny was dumb, the Paddy+Pau contract's were dumb, but those weren't catastrophic moves by the FO...this team would still be elite if Nephew simply hadn't turned into a . Especially with the emergence of White.

No because that implies that those contracts would cause the Spurs to suck or be mediocre even with Nephew around. I don't think that's the case. They'd be elite if Nephew hadn't turned into a despite those two contracts.
