DJ and White can be compatible and start together with DeMar being the odd man out
Murray is 3 years younger and has more upside. I don't see White getting much better, because he can already do everything on an NBA level. He might make small leaps, but they won't be as significant as Murray's. Murray with a midrange and 3-point shot would do wonders for this team.
White should still start though off of chemistry with LA alone. They play off of each other very well

Yeah. It makes this site look pretty stupid overall.
But i do understand the frustration from this season. This team has been REALLY bad at times this year.
But fact is we still have a chance to make the playoffs. Imagine we enter the playoffs on the streak we were on in January. With a healthy White.
Fans keep forgetting we were not healthy on the RRT. yeah it seems weird to think White could have such a big impact on the team but its been obvious that he does have that kind of impact.
Doesn't mean we are championship material. Not close to that yet. But imagine we win a few games in the playoffs, White & Company gains experience and now we are ready next year with Murray coming back. Maybe Walker will get some action. Maybe draft or sign a 3&D player.
A high draft pick CAN lead to great things. But so can winning. Especially for a players confidence.
Also who knows, Spurs could always try to move up 4 or 5 spots by trading their 2 picks if they really have their eye on a specific player that they know will be gone by the time they are up.
yeah I'm frustrated with this team at times too. Some of these posters don't know how to have an objective conversation about the team without saying stupid .
Not disputing with you but I'm cherry picking your quote for a reason. There's a play with 1.30 remaining of the 4th where DWhite directs LA for an easier basket. The play fully illustrates Dwhite the floor general at his best . As White brings the ball up he points the spot/angle for LA to screen. Runs the pnr at top of key. LA hangs back for the pop, DWhite passes meter forward forcing LA to roll to the basket for an easier lay in. Its IQ and decision making that you cant teach , that Dj could only dream of.
It would be a waste of god given talent and know-how to have White standing in the corner, not directing traffic. The team misses out not just LA.
Btw the Timout that follows soon after that play you can see DWhite telling LA I needed you to roll.
