Quotes from five-star RB Kendall Milton of Clovis, CA on his unofficial visit to Texas (24/7):
“I loved it out there,” Milton said. “I was there for two days and I would say the best part for me was spending time with coach (Tom) Herman and coach (Stan) Drayton (RB coach). I was able to sit down with them have a great conversation about the school and my role there."
“You can tell both coaches know their football and they’re both family based, which is important to me. They talked about the offense and how I could be the primary back for them and make a huge impact on the team. They see me as an every down back that never leaves the field and I definitely feel like I could make that place my home.”
“Gabe (De'Gabriel Floyd) took me out and showed me around,” Milton said. “He showed me the town a little and I love the city of Austin and felt very comfortable there. I saw Bru (McCoy) and he loves it there as well. It’s a great school and the football program is going in the right direction. I definitely plan to be back again for an official visit."
"I'm trying to set up a visit to Ohio State right now," Milton said. "I also want to visit LSU, Alabama and Georgia. I'm going to try and take some official visits this spring and I'll also take some in the fall but I haven't figured all that out yet."
"I was at Oklahoma before the Texas visit and that was a great trip too. I'm for sure going to take an official visit there as well but I'm not sure about the others. I'm just going to take my unofficial visits first and then I'll figure out the official trips later this off-season."

Update on RB Ty Jordan of West Mesquite after visiting Austin for Junior Day (24/7):
“It was pretty good,” he said. “I’ve already been there. I like what they are doing that’s new. They are going to change the stadium and have some new renovations. It was just a great time meeting with Coach (Stan) Drayton and spending one-on-one time with him. It was a big impact.”
“I like his seriousness,” Jordan said. “He can play with you, laugh with you or joke with you, but he can also get serious. I saw that a lot. He only had us for about 15 minutes, but he was already teaching us lessons and had us going.”
“It’s up there,” he said. “I don’t plan on making a list or narrowing things down until closer to next season, but Texas is definitely on the map.”
“I’m kind of looking at Arkansas and Colorado,” he said. “I’m trying not to really be biased towards anyone at this point.”

“Coach Giles is open,” Collins said. “He’ll listen to you. He’s a good coach. He’s a good dude. I like him.”
“OU (is Texas' main compe ion),” Collins said. “They have good coaches. They are funny and fun to be around. They are good people. I like them.”

Is Jaquinden trying to be a QB at the next level or is he accepting the safety role? If he wants to be at QB then he’s likely a no-go for us, right?
I think that the staff is recruiting him as an athlete. Keep in mind that both him and Card are able to play multiple positions so the guy who isnt a quarterback can still make a impact.
Just a heads up that the Dallas Opening regional is going down tomorrow.
Its going to be colder and wetter than a bucket of penguin in DFW tomorrow. Have fun with that.
Website says it's at The Star in Frisco, so weather should be a non-factor.
This dude is a beast... and he's mean
