Update on CB Jalen Kimber of Mansfield Timbeview (24/7):
“It was just the tour and how they laid everything out for me on campus,” he said. “They showed me everything from the dorms to the athletic department and even how I fit into the system.”
“When we went to the film room, he showed me how I fit in,” Kimber said. “He pulled up some of my plays and some of Texas’ plays. It was exactly the same thing, so he was just trying to show how I fit in the system. They showed me the depth chart too, so if I was to go to Texas, I could probably play early.”
“His (Coach Washington) energy and the way he coaches is all love,” he said. “He’s always texting me, and our relationship is becoming very strong, especially after this visit.”
“One thing that’s huge for me is education,” he said. “I want my family to be able to see me play, and I want to have a good relationship with the coaches.”
