DFrozen just lost his job. D white will have better numbers than DFROZEN. Its gonna be fun to watch La and white next year when they really have a connection. 3 lost in a row without White. I'm guessing the Spurs want keep White's plantar fasciitis in check.White is easily the 2nd best player on the team (probably 1st if he got more freedom and didn't have to defer so much) but gets treated like he's on the same tier as Fatty, Forbes, Beli.......
The fact that he gets subbed out so damn early each 1st qtr so Fatty can come in, clank some open 3s and give up 20 points to the opposing PG is nuts to me

I will dial it back just a bit on the kid. I tug his junk every game. I do not see white owning it in the playoffs. He will do good but it just isn't a place for newbies. especially if we get matched up with the champs. He will struggle there. But it will be an awesome learning lesson for him. He will be hassled by DraymondGreen. I am usual very hard on the spurs, but I haven't been this excited about a player since Tony came in the league.
Watched on a Hawks feed and caught the coach's interview. He was giving great props to White as the reason we won ==along with LMA of course. White has more poise at the end of games to close out than veteran DeRozan.
I was referring to SpurPadre saying White isn’t a good enough offensive player and that Demar and Rudy should earn more touches and closing the game over him
I actually liked having White and DDR on the floor together here. It allowed whoever Young was guarding to drive right at him. A Murray/Danny combo would have fared far worse.

A defensive backcourt of white and dejounte makes me drool. I don't care if DJ cant hit the three consistently yet, he and Derrick will shutdown backcourts. And Poeltl will be there to cleanup the paint.

I laugh when remember certain posters saying how White was a wasted draft pick and a scrub. My how things have changed and that’s why I am cool with giving Walker two more years before I say he is a bust.
Only guys who’ve done it more than once are Kareem (6), Robinson (4), Hakeem (2) and Barkley (2). Once each for Duncan, T-Mac, Nate Thurmond, Cousins and Josh Smith. And now Derrick White.
People giving up on Walker already are stupid. The dude is still super young. Murray looked like his first year too.
Always thought people were too excited about White here. Glad to say I was wrong. I hope he keeps developing. His style, defense and instincts are great. I like him better than DJ right now.
DJ annoys me a little bit with his questionable handles for a PG and his poor shooting form for being in the NBA. Hopefully they can play together and we can enjoy it.

Yeah Walker is green enough where he could look like a bad player for a few years but once he gets it he's going to be awesome.
I hope Murray becomes what we all expect, that DeRozan improves a bit on defense, and that Rudy and LA stay healthy enough to say that next year we could put up a lineup of White-Murray-DeRozan-Gay-LA that is good enough to match up with any smallball lineup.
And if Walker ends up being half what many here think....
stop mentioning a scrub along with white to keep the scrub relevant...
