Didn't Serena Williams have some bloodclot issues a few years ago? And she recovered fine. Of course, it could be a completely different condition.

Serena wasn't in a contact sport. She has SLE? which is managed with different medications..

Depends on what is causing it. It can be a medical problem where he is put on them for the rest of his life anyway. With blood thinners you just have to worry about internal bleeding. He may still be able to play wile on them depends on what he wants to risk. Football would be a different story.
DVT is frequently caused by sitting for long stretches on a plane. If you’ve ever heard that you should get up and walk around on long flights, that’s why.

Chris Bosh was fullypaid by Miami, but barred from playing. Miami collected his injury insurance, so the insurance company agreed that it was career ending. The Heat let him come back after the first episode, after he went off the blood thinners, but when it recurred, they were done.

Many beauties in the Baltic and Eastern European countries. Why do people think Russia always has all our top-secrets? It ain't the borscht recipes!

LMAO no Davis to the Lakers now unless Silver rigs them a top 2 pick.

Honestly they should just hold on to him if they don't get something really good back in return.

They have to trade him this summer no matter what. They can’t have this hanging over the teams head going into next season as well. We know that from the Leonard fiasco. It’s good they refuse to take the absolute garbage the Lakers had to offer.

I'd take the chance on being able to re-sign him. He didn't pull a Leonard sitting out the season and ducking the team and there is no Uncle Dennis in the picture there. With LeBron already on the decline the Lakers might not be such an appealing destination in summer 2020.

I do agree about the Lakers. I think it’s going to be a very bad three years to come for LeBron and the Lakers. He is absolutely on the decline, and superstar players are not going to want to be a part of that. Lakers will end up regretting actually signing him..

I wish Ingram the best, but I would sure hate to see the Spurs "invest" in him after this diagnosis.

It looks like they're shutting down 'Lonzo for the rest of the season, too, with an ankle injury. Maybe the Spurs could just swap rosters with the Lakers?

As much as I can't stand the Lakers franchise and enjoy seeing them fail, hate to see that happen to Ingram and hope it's something he can recover from and doesn't end his career or anything.
This tbh. Hate to see something like this happen to a young kid

Only if it recurs. The second time, you’re on blood thinners permanently, and no more NBA basketball.
    Maybe, maybe not.
Uncommon site for a DVT. Sometimes these can be due to anatomic reasons such as venous thoracic outlet syndrome and can often be corrected surgically. Trauma would be another cause.

A true spontaneous (no clear povocation) dvt in a young male many would favor indefinite anticoagulation upfront.

Flights less than 5 hours or not a significant risk. Although the number of flights they take, who knows, but not many cases and they are not exactly getting cramped in coach.

Curious, hope the best for him. I'd like to know more details.

They will fire Luke, and it is hard for me to believe they won't improve the team enough to make the playoffs next year. But I don't see a big star coming to town, until Lebron is off the team. Maybe Lebron does not finish out the deal. Wherever he goes, drama follows..

Your right that sitting can be causes it. This is not the only cause of it. It can be something in his blood that is causing it. That being said once they diagnose the issue the clot itself is removed within a few days which is why I dont know why he went into surgery.

They need to fire Magic before they will be anything but fodder.
