I'm of the belief the Gasol and Mills signings were one of the early actions that pissed off the Kawhitter. Along with PATFO not tossing his salad during the 2017 All Star game.
While I’m glad we finally got rid of pau, our win streak imo, is cause of 4 games at home where Forbes doesn’t look like a jobber and derozan is playing well and our 1 win on the road was from squeaking by the hawks
Do it on the road

Im amazed at how we are winning any games after getting rid of our best defensive player. I mean advanced stats don't lie, Pau was our best defensive player last year on a team with the #1 defense. He wasn't aided at all by Murray, Green, Slomo, and LMA last year and even though he broke his foot this year, advance stats don't lie- he was still a great defender this year. I don't see how anyone could say he was a negative defensive player tbh
Pau Spurs highlights consist of him passing the ball to LMA that one time and then him leaving.
Because he is profoundly slow and immobile.
I'm thinking Aldridge, DeRozan, White, MURRAY, Gay, Poetl, Bertans, Mills + a defensive forward will be the 9 men core rotation for the next season. Behind them, Belinelli, Forbes and Walker should complete the rotation depending on how they're playing, team needs, injuries, rest, etc. Metu should fill Pondexter spot at the end of the bench and just play residual minutes unless he earns more.
I'm assuming our rookies will spend their season in Austin.

is this Chinook's alt?
Depends if Spurs draft an older rookie or a young one. And Spurs will use a full MLE on a rotational player. It's worth 9mil, so they should get something good. Like Marcus Morris, Bojan Bogdanovic, Terrence Ross, Al-Farouq Aminu, Rodney Hood.
I hope we get a legit SF in the draft who can provide a few minutes immediately. And I don't expect Pop to retain all those bodies in the backcourt. I expect him to trade one of Marco or Forbes. I also hope Ben Moore shows enough next summer to win a roster spot.
Actually, it kinda doesn't. Derrick White was 23 when drafted, and spent a season in Austin.
We kind of got our moneys worth with this game. I like how most of his defense was to wave at the guy shooting 2-3 feet away from him.
so exactly the same thing he's been doing here since 2017, lmao advanced stats..
Still paying this next season![]()
He was drafted low, though. Beno Udrih, George Hill, and James Anderson before his injury were all rotational players in their rookie year.
To your point.

Nice find![]()
Has nobody here seen the Pau Gasol tribute video the Spurs played before the Bucks game?
There was no d-league or g-league when Beno was drafted, and GHill was also a full four year college player. James Anderson played 3 years of D 1 ball.
In 3 games so far with Milwaukee....in 10 MPG, averaging 1.3/3.3/0.7 with a -8.9 BPM and -0.1 VORP.
Good riddance.
I can't believe Poop benched Beno for Nick Van Exel. Asinine!!!
He benched Beno because Linsday Hunter repeatedly stripped him of the ball in the 2005 Finals and took it the other way for scores. Spurs got their asses kicked in games 3 and 4, in large part due to those cir stances.
