Dude talks a lot of smack but never backs it up. Talks smack to KD and loses by 30. Talked smack against Houston and bounced in the 1st round. Talks smack about Utah and gets bounced again in the 1st round.

Saw that article on the Westbrook rules and I'm just thinking to myself damn dude, that kinda mentality only works if you're an enforcer or a tough guy. Westbrook is neither of those. He plays like a little kid on the bball court- takes all the shots and hogs the ball and his team loses by like 30 and he's like yeah but check my stats. Triple double guys! It's not my fault we lost. Tells Steven Adams you're not allowed to say high to a guy before the game and you're also not allowed to grab a rebound while I'm on the court.

He's Alphabrook to be sure but he's also a career loser

Westcancer loves to run his mouth at fans and opposing players, to this day it's been nothing but a bunch of empty threats.
Yeah this is much ado about nothing. Westbrook is full of . He talks because he can.

And white people that are afraid of big scary black man. Oh noes...muscles and ooga booga!

Please. Every black man isn't Jon Jones just like every white man isn't Conor McGregor. You've already lost the fight if you are scared. I might lose...but what does that entail? Nothing really. You get some bumps and bruises and move on. I'd rather take the ass beating than be seen as a coward.

But hey, it's Utah. Jazz fans have been doing this for decades. I remember Barkley going into the stands after one.

    This.

I hate white people that get scared of a dude just because he is black

it’s similar to the suburbs/intercity thing. Just because someone grew up wealthy doesn’t mean they can’t fight and just because someone grew up poor doesn’t mean they can.

This asshole needs to grow up already.. Fans are fans, and there is no way to stop them from talking . Get over it.
If Westbrook's story is actually true (the fan is saying something different) then I don't blame him for his reaction. There's normal talking from fans but at some point you cross the line when you bring up about a player's kid or make racial jokes.

While I admittedly found it hilarious due to how much of a piece of Derek Fisher is, the Utah fan who covered one eye and yelled while Fisher was shooting free throws (in reference to Fisher's daughter having eye cancer) was definitely beyond the scope of normal heckling.

In the words of the Dothraki "it is known"...
Utah prizes white players not because I think FO is, racist but because Some of their fans are and it's hard to get black players especially inner city black players to resign or sign there...because of it.

As for crossing lines I think taking on a female is a step far and tbh though I wouldn't let someone make that knees comment to my face but is yelling from the stands truly in your face?
Not saying paying for a tix gives you carte blanche to be a racist POS... But Russ needs to have thicker skin... It didn't affect him last night, he played well.. But come playoffs could be different.

The fan was an idiot, and there's assholes like that at every game. Fans like that actually ruin the experience for the other fans sitting around them, too, so I'm sure most people sitting around a jerk like that wouldn't mind him being removed either.

But, Russ is a prima donna and needs to tune that crap out. NBA games need better security around the game, and that way if a player feels threatened he can just let security know and have them take care of it. The fan should have been quietly removed and Russ should have handled it better...but mixing it up with fans is part of Westbrook's schtick. He'd a hot-headed, semi-dirty player, and his antics fire up the opposing fans. He knows he incites that, so he needs to have a plan in place to handle those situations instead of acting shocked when some moron fan gets fired up and starts shooting his mouth.

So it has been historically occurring. What changed? - black players became en led and/or uppity. Some of this stuff maybe even alot of it dates back to Obama Presidency and BlackLivesMatter.

Americans are finding less joy and truth in casual racism, and many even find it offensive now.

Playing the race card has never been more powerful. Fan could have made a Your Momma joke, Westbrook retaliated by going into the stands and been excused by saying it is related to slave owners treatment of women of color.

Eventually demographics will change and it will be a Mexican telling Westbrooks son to get on his knees and the race card will be rejected.
