Yes. Marc Gasol is a premier big man. Top end quality.
But is softer than a dirty warm diaper in the post

What about trading Porker for Marc?
But Porker wouldn't accept to be a 3rd string PG there
nope didn't want it when both were available, made no sense with Timmay, and I think LMA is a better fit immediately and long term
With 3 Cs that can't play PF, Who would play PF? Lee?
Lamarcus has been horrible TBH.
He's not playing like the second best player in the team and he looks like he's mailing it in very often. I am kind of fed up he shows up out of shape and looks like he doesn't give two f*cks out there. He doesn't set good screens, he can't bully anyone in the paint and draw fouls when his shot isn't falling and he needs Tony to set the table for him every time or he disappears. It's fine that Kawhi is the best player, but Lamarcus has taken deferral to a whole new level and he's paid to play like a star.
OTOH Gasol with his injury history is not a good idea and now that Pop got the older Gasol, there is no point but I am disappointed in Lamarcus this season.
Availability is the best ability. Nope. That Gasol extension will looks just as bad as the Conley contract
LMA's contract is a tremendous steal in this market.
more posters coming on board
Trade his ass for picks and young prospects; dude isn't good enough to pull this act in San Antonio..
How did it behoove him to come out in this terrible shape-- after taking the summer off (no Olympics), in Year 2 within Spurs system, and most importantly, when he's been called upon to share responsibility of carrying the torch from Tim Duncan-- if not for being a certified loser at heart ..
I would trade any poster that thinks Marc is any good for a reddit nba poster.![]()
Bump.

^ Aldridge vs Gasol 2018-19 seasons comparison.
To think this was even debated around a here coupe of years ago..They are now in different tiers. One is a borderline washed up role player; the other is still an All Star and the best player on a playoffs team..
Glad the Spurs never went that route. In fact, Aldridge's longevity is starting to look impressive.. Even Superstars from his age group (Lebron, CP3) have noticeably lost a step or two..
LMA's game should age well.
LMA can still play at this level two or three years from now. One reason he wanted to play for the Spurs is the way the team was able to extend Tim's career.
LMA is in the best spot he could be in. Pop's about the only coach in the league that still embraces the midrange game. He'd be standing around watching everyone else score on another NBA team, and we know how the rest of his game tends to regress when he's not the focal point of the offense. LMA will retire a Spur would be my guess.
Would be weird having two #12s up in the rafters, tbh.
This is true. As long as Pop is around, LMA’s role is safe here. But if he starts demanding trades or gets a big head bc of his production within this, one of the last, systems that reward mid range shooting big men, he might get his wish to get traded but won’t be a fit on another team.
LaMarcus just said that he sees himself rPortland to finish his career.
LMA is the rock of the Spurs. We're not gonna win a championship with him but he proved me wrong last/this season. Marc looks about done. I don't know his contract situation, but if it goes beyond this year, the Raptors screwed themselves.
Fat Gasol has a 25 mills player option for next season
Guess it will just be Fat Gasol hibernating in the north when nephew bolts for the Clips show lol
Well, that kind of sucks if true.
