Didn't have DWhite to bail him out tonight tbh
I blocked that troll and it is so much nicer not to hear that noise.
Didn't have DWhite to bail him out tonight tbh
Disagree. Spurs are a good team. A dangerous team. Besides the Warriors who else is far and away better than us?
It was a total let down after a perfect game. happens.
Demar was the player that had the stop though so you have to give him the chance while his confidence is up from making that stop. I have no issue with Pop's desicion there.
Sure I am serious. Manu drove people nuts - no denying it - me included. Still much higher BBIQ than DeMar. DeMar has probably done more boneheaded stuff in crunch time as a Spur than Ginobili did in his career.
Did not like white sitting the last few minutes.
I missed the first 3 quarters, why was bertans not out there at the end?
DDR simply cannot dribble in traffic. The sooner he realizes this the better this team will be.
Had a perfect opportunity there at the end to drive and dish to Aldridge who was open by the basket but throws a bad pass and goes out of bounds.
We had plenty of chances to cut into the lead at the end. Especially after wade got his technical. Had a couple of turnovers and some missed shots. The missed shots I can handle but those TOs are killer. Most of them at the hands of DDR.
Dude just go away. Its obvious you think our team sucks.
6 other teams in the West tbh.
Trap game. And we fell in it.
Sucks but hopefully they learn from it. We werent going to win 20 straight going into the playoffs.
Demar had the stop with 13 secs left on the clock.
You are down 3.
What is Demar gonna do,bring the ball down court and hit a 3 in traffic? No? Pass to Patty for a 3? Yes,but you have to be able to make the pass.
You don't let DeRozan bring the ball down court, you call a time out and draw up a 3 point play.
People forget how atrocious this team is on the road. They are definitely really good at home but any competent coach/team playing in their arena can expose their flaws and take that advantage away. We lost to the ing Hornets for example after not taking them seriously.
White and LMA were MIA, of course we were going to lose that game. We can't afford to have two important starters go missing while the other team hits ridiculous shots from 3
you just know they'll make up for beating the warriors.
There's no such thing as trap games. If they don't play up to the level of the compe ion, they can be beaten by anyone on any given night. Just ask the Knicks and Suns.
We disagree, you expect your highest paid player to make the right play while his confidence is high against an off balance defense than draw a play against a set defense. You take a time out when you get a rebound and most of the other team players are back, this was not the case here at all. There was no traffic, if he hadn't been stripped he goes for an easy fast two and then you try to steal the ball or foul fast and get a time out after that.
Yeah any competent coach with proper time to gameplan should be able to get any shot they want when Pop continues to roll out the Patty/Beli/Bryn steel curtain tbh.
Miami or any other team hitting 3s at a high clip isn't a fluke tbh, the real fluke is expecting the gimmicky defense to hold up when it actually matters, it's expecting Derozan to not choke like crazy when the stakes are raised....
White was terrible basically the whole game. It was a fair call. Wouldve liked Bertans over Forbes though.
I mean does anybody think the Spurs are going to win @ Houston, @ Boston? It's easily a 3 game losing streak and being locked into the 8th seed to face the Dubs.
Their last win on the road against a .500 team was against the ing Pistons in early January![]()
He had zero turnover though. Who said he had to score? You want the ball in hands of your best ballhandler so he can create shots for his teammates.
Regardless of how DWhite played in the game, it was clear tonight that Pop sees him on the same tier as guys like Patty, Bryn, and Beli. That's a ing problem and I don't think it'll be fixed until the old man retires.
Indeed, one might say that DeMar pulled a Manu tonight.
But you go with your best players. What the was the excuse for Enrique then when he was dog here while Pop sat guys like CoJo and Patty? Why wasn't he benched then? I guess White doesn't have enough corporate knowledge to earn Pop's full respect just yet.
I,personally, don't expect anything from DeMar in the last two minutes of play.I expect him to perform well for 3 and a half quarters.
Also,go check the final play again. He has Waiters covering the post,Richardson right in front of him,Wade right behind him. That,by definition,is TRAFFIC.
He wasn't going for the quick 2,he was trying to get the ball to Patty who is already in the corner ready to fire.
What you're saying is right but only if it's an actual fast break 1on1,there was traffic involved,Pop should've called time.
DeMar will eventually learn how to play smart basketball. He is still learning to play the right way, We Spurs fans are just used to seeing smart/ high IQ basketball players that we expect every single player to be the same. DeMar will learn from those mistakes and will be better next time.
