Make everything public. Congress was unanimous about this.
    Barr isn't.

He's allowed to try to prevent it's public release. Certainly he can make a case about in court, and I suspect he will.

Right, and that's what he's going to hang his hat on. What's likely going to happen is Congress is going to subpoena it, then there's going to be an ensuing court battle over it.

They could also subpoena Mueller to reveal pieces in order to mount political pressure over it.

In other words, it's gonna be a protracted court battle over this, and it's unknown whether it's worth it or not. One thing is sure: Barr's word is not good enough, at least, for Democrats.

Yeah, definitely subpoena Mueller. Good plan.

Honestly, I hope dems double their efforts against drumpf.

It's just not really realistic to try to hide it either, tbh.... especially if it has some damning info. As I said previously, it's only a matter of time until it becomes public. Either through a leak or the next Dem administration.

It's just better if they start releasing at least redacted copies, and get the spin machine in full swing.

Legally, it's actually quite interesting on how it could develop. While the DOJ is the branch that would pursue any criminal cases, it's part of the Executive branch, and a conflict of interest would be unavoidable. On the other hand, the Cons ution grants the House the power to investigate to impeach, so it's likely they'll make the case that they should have authority to decide at least on that aspect, even if there's no criminal accusation. Remember Mueller was the independent investigator, but the DOJ claims no independence.

And, frankly, the Dems should double their efforts against Trump, tbh... that's something that get their base excited, so I don't foresee that changing.

This is getting better and better, Da Vinci Code type, Dems will go to Russian Тысячелетие России, take 12 steps to the north, 75 to the southeast, 150 nortwest, and then fart 3 times, scratch their heads until the sun aligns with the cross, and then everything will be clear to activate the switch to open the vault inside the monument.
GO GET THEM! Final Boss is Putin ala double dragon, beware of the machine gun!

It's too bad Oprah has no interest. She's wealthier than drumpf and would have broad appeal.

Plus, we'd all get new cars.

William Barr Can’t Exonerate Donald Trump

Despite what the attorney general’s letter to Congress states, his argument clearing the president of obstruction goes against established law and is profoundly dangerous.

Barr’s reasoning should not be accepted, because it sits squarely at odds with settled law and amounts to an attempt to pre-empt Congress’ cons utionally assigned role to determine if the president has committed high crimes and misdemeanors.

Barr also indicated that Mueller found evidence that the president may have obstructed the investigation but did not reach a conclusion on that issue.

. Barr’s argument thus suggests that if a subject of a criminal investigation avoids indictment for the underlying offense—whether it be insider trading, burglary, or election interference—he should not be charged with criminal liability for efforts to obstruct the investigation of the potential offense, either.
That is simply not the law. Proof of an underlying crime is not an element of an obstruction charge, and individuals are regularly charged with obstruction without facing criminal liability for an underlying offense.

Pelosi's decision not to impeach Trash but only beat him in 2020 is equal to letting Trash escape without full transparency and punishment.

If the state and Federal investigators find that Trash is a criminal, will Pelosi still refuse to impeach?

Russia now knows they can get away with conning Americans: former counter-intelligence officer

National security analyst and counter-intelligence officer Steve Hall said that Attorney General Bill Barr’s summary of the Mueller report should unite all Americans:

Russia thinks it can get away with anything

Russia attacked us in 2016 and

they did it again in 2018, and

they’re probably going to do it again in 2020 and into the future,”

“This hybrid world that they’ve developed,

part of which is trying to do influence operations and

all of the things that you were just reading.”

“And I think one thing the Russian intelligence services are thinking is,

‘Hum, now we have a much better idea as to where the channel markers are. Where the lanes in the road are,'”

“And they’re actually, I think, the Russians are probably a bit surprised at how broad they can go and next time they go against us in a hybrid-warfare type of fashion,

at the very least in 2020, they’ll know that they can probably push a little it further than they thought that they could.

They can get a little closer to that edge,

because what they’ve learned is due to our system of justice due to our open society, and how things work here,

they actually have a lot more room to work with and

still people aren’t going to be thrown into jail or,

at least the most important people aren’t going to be accused of things.

And I think that’s a very important lesson learned.”
