Because the parents were acting like "snowflakes."

Mature parents would ask their children what they thought of the experience, their newfound opinions on Islam, and then perhaps explained how Islam differs from Christianity, while highlighting concerns about the religion (i.e. the hijab, which does illustrate how Islam treats women as second class citizens, in my opinion).

All I read is he said/she said. This guy named Hale claimed the Mosque was preaching, while the Mosque official said they don't invite people to pray, but don't prevent them if they want to. In any event, if Christian parents let their child become converted after a field trip, then they're obviously failing to instill Christianity in that child.
