Pop said "no" to a transition year when he traded Kawhi to the Raptors for a salary dumped DeRozan.
Really Hoops? That passive aggressive huh....... You boys realize this is a transition year but yet we’re in the playoffs? No words.......
Pop said "no" to a transition year when he traded Kawhi to the Raptors for a salary dumped DeRozan.
How's this a transition year? We have this same core inked for the next couple seasons.
Did pop say that or you interpreted the move that way? I’ve never seen a first year player in our system hit the ground running. DDR is actually doing well for year one by history’s standard.
This is DDR’s first year, Bryn & Derrick thrown into huge minutes ( growing pains )........ need I continue? You do realize there are two rookies on the bench getting on the job training, two aging vets providing no production? So yeah, transition.
Transitioning into the lottery.
Unless you want to reveal your inside info on why Kawhi really left, I'm going to assume that he was probably pissed about 1) Garbage contracts handed out to Patty/Kawhi 2) The inep ude of the medical staff. Seems like he was pretty right on the money about both those things and he's on a championship contender. Yeah, he put them in a bad situation but they probably should have listened to that autistic instead of this culture club that they put together.
Kemba Walker doesn't go off if Pop actually just plays Derrick White the minutes that any normal coach would. Kemba doesn't light the Spurs up if he's not being guarded by the likes of Patty Mills and Bryn Forbes. It's not rocket science.
Pau* but even worse when you factor he’s not on the team anymore and the team was still be paying him next season. It was obvious to everyone by the front office about how awful that contract was.
paying patty "50 mills"
giving Pau 48mil/3yr
"it's for the culture"
spiritual leader
PATFO fluffers
Bam!
You wish. He's gonna that up, too.
Good ol’ Zeus with the goods; of course water is wet and up isn’t down! You are a scholar........ a great mind like yours will not be missed until you’re gone; please go!
As per usual. The vanilla PATFO fluffers tuck their chode and stay away from their fluff threads like the plague![]()
This off season is very crucial for PATFO and the perception we will have of them going forward. PATFO can still make this thread look good in the next two years. We weren't going to win anything anyway this season.
"Still" make this thread look good?
This thread is a joke. got OP won't even defend it anymore. PATFO has been such an embarrassment even DPG21920 is starting to see the light.
if PATFO keeps more than 7 players of this years team then they are 100% re ed
This is why Pop needs to retire, and go ALL the way out the door, not stay in the front office. Nothing will change as long as he is still in charge of players signed.
Nah - I am confident in the youth of this team. I think SA can be in the mix with a good off season but I also would understand going in a different direction if a great opportunity presented itself.
Raptors were high fiving. They got 1 MVP caliber player and one of the best 3-and-D Players of the league for unloading a bad contract
DeRozan's contract is underwater, which means that they are going to have to give up value to get out of it. They already tried to unload Aldridge for value, and couldn't get it. The youth that you have confidence in are going to have to be paid in the next couple of years, which won't leave the kind of cap space to sign exceptional FA talent. (Even assuming they would come here.)
The Spurs' "great opportunity" is in the draft. And they ed that up by believing that "anything can happen once you get into the playoffs".
