Was wondering if NBA TV was doing a Manu tribute today in lieu of his jersey retirement, such as showing today, some of the games where he was clutch. Only thing I see is the ticker showing a place on their website to go watch tributes of him by fellow Spurs alum. Just checked out the site, & they have only two posts: one is the tribute, the other is video clips of looking back at Manu's legacy as a basketball icon, uh huh, yeah, right... SMH... (well, at least they are doing something?)

Man, I really wish I could enjoy the ceremony and celebrate Manu's career.....

But I just know it'll be a stark reminder of what a pathetic loser team this is and how soft Pop has become (he's old, it happens).....

You probably already have things mapped out, but I'll give my personal recommendations from growing up in SA:

Los Barrios or La Haciena de Los Barrios - both San Antonio ins utions owned by the same family

Chachos or Chachos & Chalucchis - the former was another SA staple, the latter was a newer location built on steroids

Cristan's Tacos - Multiple locations, still my favorite breakfast in the world. My dad used to take me to the one off Walzem & Midcrown all the time. I've spent 10 years in Austin, and still have not found a better breakfast taco

Los Palapas - nothing outstanding, just quick and easy diner-style Tex-Mex. I still miss Los Palapas in my life

These are just my favs...I'm sure other will chime in with some suggestions. Honestly, even if you just go into some hole-in-the-wall looking place..thats where you sometimes find the best stuff.

La Haciena de Los Barrios is wack too. It's like going to any average Mexican joint in SA but getting charged twice as much. Las Palapas needs to learn how to make a decent salsa.
