Ok - rooting for a Denver/Spurs series.
Walker is a bust. He's not even that good in the G league. Should have drafted Huerter
Ok - rooting for a Denver/Spurs series.
He's got his mind of Portland. He misses Dame. Lol
The highlight of the game for me was the way Bryn fought through a tough screen to get open for the game clinching three that he hit.
Maybe I'm crazy for thinking this, but is it possible that LA's been passive due to Pop wanting to get the rest of the team prepared for the playoffs? He has barely even touched the ball over the final five minutes of the last four games and they've all gone down to the wire.
You wouldn't even know he was near the top of the league in 3pt % by the way he's shot them lately.
Or maybe he needs a dnp rest, he has only not played in one game all season, I can't recall the last time a major Spur played in this many games in a season, 77 out of 78. He can't now because we are in a dogfight for the 6th or 7th (avoid the 8th) seed.
LW IVs g-league stats are comparable, if not a bit better than Corey Joseph's first year stats, and LW IV started REALLY slow after his injury. Cory became a very important rotation piece on the 2014 championship squad, and LW IV projects higher than CJ did. It's WAY too soon to be writing off a near lottery pick who suffered and injury during training camp. Give him another SL, a full training camp, and a month or two next year to get his feet wet, much like White needed this year.
that's nonsense, walker would have probably looking good in Atlanta playing a lot like Huerter. He was good in G league, not forcing things too much and changing his game with the time.... the guy is young and we can't judge him with 3-4 minutes in an nba game. Once he will play 15-20 minutes minimum in 10 games for example we could talk about him.
I also think he should not have a grade yesterday.
Declaring someone a bust when they're 20 years old and have played 80 total minutes of NBA basketball
He might be, but you can't conclude that at this point.
Maybe i'm wrong but i feel like we should just start Poeltl regardless of matchups. Gay looks worse starting and Poeltl looks worse off the bench. You're essentially handicapping 2 of your x factor players.
When we were on that tear a few weeks ago, Poeltl started most of those games. Why go away from that. Just keep him in there and then make in game adjustments when needed.
That injury slowed down his progress so much. Which was so unfortunate due to Murray and White both going down in the beginning as well. But thats how it goes. I expect Walker to be MUCH better by preseason next season.
timvp I'm feeling it brother....game by game....come over to the dark side of Spurstalk

i think pop is just tinkering again. as to walker, i see the stiff legs sometimes and my guess is nerves. i think in time this will diminish and we will see what he can bring to the table. he really didn't get to handle the ball all that much. defensively, it looks as if he's thinking too much and not reacting enough.
Agreed -but -
it's Pop and it takes him 3 years to see what is obvious...
Forbes is so hard to figure out. Just as I think his defense is foot speed, he'll easily drive past an opponent for the hoop. Can't jump, no hops? Check out someof his rebounds; he's getting up pretty good from a standing start. Side to side foot movement?
What do you guys think?
It is said that the Apache would ride a horse to death and then drink its blood to continue the fight. While I don't want any throat cutting on the Spurs floor, maybe we need some Apache spirit on the team
I can see Lonnie Walker going bananas once he gets released or traded to the Hawks/Suns
Spurs only won cause Atlanta wanted to lose and forfeited
he is what he is. A better cheaper version of fatty mills.
Thanks for the grades! Yes winning tonight will go a long way in avoiding GSW in the first round. Hopefully LMA is ready to play this game!
My sentiments exactly LW3 has great potential his unfortunate injury has set him back tremendously, judge him after a full healthy season.
I agree poetl brings a high energy when he starts but Rudy can create his own shot a get me a bucket kind of guy so I guess that's why pop starts him sometimes, my worry is that we are entering the playoffs soon and the past few games he hasn't been himself lately you'll notice recently in game ending situations he's not on the floor, since that huge game winner some time ago he has fallen off, pop is also trying out new things as playoffs is approaching.
A few good wins and the sheep will start migrating the other direction. Timvp has been a shepherd of believe ever since I've known him. The dark side will never win over Ben Kenobi....I mean Timvp.
Ed, you're my guy. Plenty of space on the ol Death Star for you. Just need you to hit me with " Fatty Mills" chant....
