You said you pick and choose which ones apply.
Yeah Pavlov, I just ignore all the other verses.
You said you pick and choose which ones apply.
Yeah, that's exactly what I said. You got me Pavlov.
Chris just following up on this.
So you follow every verse in the Bible?
^^Yes, I ignored your disingenuous semantic trolling the first time. You're full of , but I entertain your questions from time to time.
No, I just pick the ones I like and ignore the rest.
huh? what disingenuous semantic trolling are you talking about?
what specifically do you consider to be the "christian principles" that you believe this country was founded upon?
That's what I said you do.
Hmmmmm?
Found this....
It is called herem, and it means total annihilation. Consider the Book of 1 Samuel, when God instructs King Saul to attack the Amalekites: "And utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them," God says through the prophet Samuel. "But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey."
When Saul failed to do that, God took away his kingdom.
Yep, you got me.
Do you follow all the verses in the Bible as the word of God?
Yes or no.
Is the Christian Bible More 'Bloodthirsty' than the Quran?

The whole thing is a huge mess, the big difference is Muslims today haven;t moved on from that , while most Christians have.
really, Chris? im hardly trolling, legit asking what specific christian principles you think this country is founded upon. unless your claim rests entirely on the fact that we see god appear here and there in some founding do ents. if so, imo that's insignificant as none of those references impact how the government is organized/functions (ie foundation of the country)
im just asking you to gimme a few christian principles and explain how the US foundation was tied to them. is that really trolling?
back in the day we called that cafeteria Catholicism.
it's like going to Luby's, everything is cooked to a more or less uniform texture: gummable.
Defining a Christian Nation
Contemporary critics who assert that America is not a Christian nation always refrain from offering any definition of what the term “Christian nation” means. So what is an accurate definition of that term as demonstrated by the American experience?
Contrary to what critics imply, a Christian nation is not one in which all citizens are Christians, or the laws require everyone to adhere to Christian theology, or all leaders are Christians, or any other such superficial measurement. As Supreme Court Justice David Brewer (1837-1910) explained:
[I]n what sense can [America] be called a Christian nation? Not in the sense that Christianity is the established religion or that the people are in any manner compelled to support it. On the contrary, the Cons ution specifically provides that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Neither is it Christian in the sense that all its citizens are either in fact or name Christians. On the contrary, all religions have free scope within our borders. Numbers of our people profess other religions, and many reject all. Nor is it Christian in the sense that a profession of Christianity is a condition of holding office or otherwise engaging in public service, or essential to recognition either politically or socially. In fact, the government as a legal organization is independent of all religions. Nevertheless, we constantly speak of this republic as a Christian nation – in fact, as the leading Christian nation of the world. 1
Back in what day? The 40's?
Today it's called cherry picking.
I can answer that. Without the oppression from the RCC the US likely doesn't exist. Ergo Christian nation.
Lol DMC history narrative.
Why would anyone think America wasn't a Christian Nation? Do some homework, there it is.
Persecuted for their religious beliefs, a long line of men and women have taken refuge in America ever since the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. Barred from their homelands as enemies of the state, dissidents have come to America so that their voices will not be silenced. Looking for a better life for themselves and their families, most immigrants have seen America as a promised land. Searching for safety, four million refugees have come to America since World War II. Drawn to the possibilities of a free society, creative spirits have come to America from all over the world and have flourished in its creative openness.

A Christian nation that proclaims to tolerate all religious beliefs.
