Even though the Toronto pick looks like it’ll be 29, it’s still valuable. I’m confident the spurs will find a quality player with one of the 2 picks. I Would like to see them trade both picks and move up but I doubt that happens

spurs are stuck with untradeable garbage to try and upgrade
Let's not forget that some are more untouchable than anything.

    Sigh...like Mills.

    -Draft Doumboya
    -Draft Bitadze
(or package those two picks and Forbes to try and move up)
    -Re-sign Gay
-Bring Over Milutinov using part of the MLE.

Spurs need a trade. Draft picks, Murray and the MLE won't be enough
Especially not in this sad draft

Toronto's 1st Round pick turns out to be so low, that it will likely be a draft and stash big who can't shoot from Serbia, tbh. Too bad we couldn't also get a future 1st round pick from 2020 as once Load Management plays for LA next season, that pick will be higher. At least with us as an 8th seed, we could still get a potentially quality player.
Right, because we've NEVER had a good pick that late...

In a perfect world, Pop retires and they are able to ship out Derozan.

But I'll settle with the team cutting ties with one of Patty or Bryn.... I'll even settle for not wasting two roster spots on absolute losers like QPon or Dante.

It's a super low bar but I doubt these morons even clear it

Lonnie has the chops to be in the rotation. This is pretty evident to anybody that has seen him play. Another summer league and a full training camp and I have absolutely zero doubt he'd be more helpful than Patty or Bryn.

Unfortunately, Patty will never be moved. In fact it's more likely that, upon his death, his body is taxidermied and propped up next to the bench in his waving a towel pose.

Equally as unfortunate is that Bryn looks to be moving in the same direction with the PATFO. Bryn is an absolute loser and despite his recent string of good games, any team that has him in their 9 man rotation has first-round fodder as its ceiling.

Squeezing Lonnie out an additional year in favor of one-tricky ponies like Fatty Forbes would be ing terrible but I fully expect the morons to go that route.

At least he's fun to watch. If I have to endure a mediocre w/l record, I would at least rather watch him play. I wish the Spurs could convince someone to take the Raptors pick and the Spurs' second to just eat Mills' contract.

The problem is, what do the Spurs use as trade ballast? Nobody is giving up the kind of player the Spurs really need and taking back Mills. DeRozan's contract is too bloated. Bertans actually has the best on/off of any non-starter in the league, but I don't think other teams will be beating down the door for him, and he's only $7M.

Go looking for a team with enough space to absorb the hit from DeRozan? That means giving up picks. Probably this year's first, and a future since the Spurs look desperate. Maybe I'm just in a negative mood, but I don't see much of a way out of jail here.

Where's Isaiah Thomas when you really need him?
Mills has to go. I'd say Pop should ship out Mills and sign Tony so he can retire here. That way you still have some veteran leadership and corporate knowledge around, but as a 3rd stringer. I don't see a trade out there either, but it's possible to move Mills without giving up too much. Maybe Borrego would want him.

Hmmm... could Luc Mbah a Mute be a possible prospect in the Spurs' offseason?

The Los Angeles Clippers waived Luc Mbah A Moute in order to free up a roster spot before the playoffs.
Mbah A Moute appeared in just 4 games this season, averaging 5 points and 1.8 rebounds. He was ruled out for the season after having knee surgery.

    Adrian Wojnarowski/ESPN

Looks like he might be available this offseason, & could be a nice pickup, either to replace DC33 to come off the bench, or perhaps even as a starter in the SF position. Upside: He has been noted for his defensive skills, which his contributions with the Rocketts' back in 2017-18, made their defense pretty good. His offensive skills aren't too bad, either, for the 6-8 Camaroonian. The downside: Of coarse he will be coming off his knee surgery, but he should be ready come training camp in the fall. Another thing to take into consideration is his age. He's 32 right now, so he's starting to get a little long in the tooth as an NBA player. Of coarse he's not our answer at SF as a long haul solution, but he may come on the cheap. The real solution for SF, would be the draft as a priority, while free agency would be secondary, in my opinion. But all-in-all, this offseason will be pretty interesting when it begins to unfold, but first things first... the playoffs. GSG!!!

Duombouya falling pretty far in most mock drafts. Could be a long-term project for us. I still think need to move Forbes and a pick to move up further in the draft.

Pop needs to call up one of his former assistants and get them to take Patty's ridiculous contract this offseason. Corporate knowledge and all that. Send them a 2024 second rounder and move on from the blunder from down under.

Damn I wish we got Dame and McCollum instead of DeRozan. It would have been a deal when I called it in November 2017 as soon as we knew Kawhi sat out while perfectly healthy

Said it downstairs, but a Nurkic/LMA swap might interest the Guests if Nurkic is gonna be out a significant part of next season.
