Anyone but the Dubs, bro..We know now they are the top seed for sure..Let the chips fall where they may for the rest in the final day..

Watching Houston play is infuriating. The way Harden plays makes me feel miserable. But yeah I’d take them over Golden State any day.

Got to take care of business in the last 2 games and hope either OKC and Clippers drop one..Good chance looking at their remaining schedule..

Best odds of that happening will be:

    Game 82: Rockets @ OKC :
Houston still playing for second seed and have the tiebreak vs Nuggets. Denver up 2 games in the loss column but they have @ Blazers @ Jazz next..If Nuggets lose either of those games (hopefully the Blazers one), the Rockets will be going all in the last game since Portland would also be a threat to snatch the 3rd seed from them as they have the tiebreak in case they finish with the same record with HOUSTON.
If I am understand the seedings scenarios; OKC and us win out and LAC drops one of the last two, then it would be OKC 6th, Spurs 7th and LAC 8th.

Not sure about a three-way tie breaker if Sours win out, LAC and OKC both lose a game though.

Correct, and Spurs #6 in a 3-way tie. Then it depends on HOU and DEN if they juggle or not to try getting the Spurs or the Clips in the first round (I guess nobody wants OKC)

yeah they have potential but they can't get it together it seems.
i would love an OKC-Warriors matchup though. that would be fun to watch. i just don't want us against gsw. spurs better get these next 2 games. seriously.

and if we somehow end up playing the Rockets, that would be intriguing just because Pop has never lost to Dantoni. I would love to see Pringles crumble again against Pop.

2017 should've been the year Pringles beats Pop but even then couldnt do it. With the Kawhi injury and everything. But still couldnt do it.

Pop should be absolutely on his knees begging Kerr and Bud to go all out in those games against the Clippers/Thunder.

Obviously it's in Kerr's best interest to play the Spurs instead of OKC in the first round but there's a lot of variables right now that Kerr might just throw the old man a bone.

Of course, it would shock absolutely zero people if these iditots blew the game against Cleveland or Dallas.

Anything other than Dubs. Not just because they'd beat us, but because I'm so sick of that team. Don't need to be "entertained" by watching them.

thanks. Sounds like a good chance that the Spurs won't end up 8th- assuming they don't the bed.

Rather not have a 3 way tie would rather OKC falls to 8th while LAC stays at 6th and the Spurs get 7th. Spurs get the 19th pick and hopefully actually have a chance by playing DEN instead of GSW.

My sentiments. I don't watch them. Will I go to a game if they play them? Only if I can't sell my tickets.

So, unless some serious chokage happens, the Spurs should secure finishing above the Clippers. We should root for OKC to win out too, tbh. Would rather face Denver than Houston.

Portland beating Denver was very bad for us. Now houston has to win vs OKC to avoid the 4th seed since Portland is gonna win out. We're gonna play against the love of all refs, James Harden.
I can't stand losing to Houston but we're gonna have to drink from that bitter cup.

    Maybe not, tbh.

Denver has a very difficult game at Utah next and after that they face the Wolves on a B2B. If Houston wins and Denver loses any of its games it's Nuggets-Spurs in a 3-6 seeds battle. Portland might even get in the mix as the 3rd seed, and that would be the absolute best case scenario.

    just got mighty interesting.

Hopefully OKC beats HOU but loses to the Bucks AND Denver wins one of it's last 2 AND POR wins their last two AND LAC beat the UTA AND we beat the mighty Mavs, so it's:

    1-GOL
    2-DEN 54-28
    3-POR 53-29
    4-HOU 53-29
    5-UTA
    6-SAS 48-34
    7-LAC 48-34
    8-OKC 48-34

Sure, but neither Utah nor Wolves have any incentives to win. I can see Utah resting players against Denver.

Yep, Utah will probably shut it down if they lose to the Lakers tonight, which appears likely..

Well, when I made that comment, I didn't expect the Jazz to choke against the Lakers of all teams, tbh.

Either way, don't the Jazz still have mathematical chances of getting the 4th seed or is that already out of the equation?

As I thought, it all pivots around HOU@OKC.
HOU will choose its opponent for the forst round, basically. They can even maybe choose if get #2 or #3 seed.

On Tuesday they play after DEN and before POR, so entering the 4th quarter they'll know if they can catch DEN or not.
If they (decide to) make it to #2 they will probably play OKC (although tie break OKC LAC might go down to other-conference record), and SA will get #6 seed.
But if they stay #3 losing to OKC, then it is almost certainly OKC in the playoffs and SA will make 7th.

We might need to lose to DAL to avoid HOU in the first round

If HOU wins OKC it's going to be a 3 teams tie break for 6-8 seeds, where we ends up in that?

If Houston lose to OKC, they could end up 4th as Portland has the head to head over Houston. That would be the best case, Spurs wise.
