I put Dirk up there with Fisher, Allen and CP3, my hated spoilers who caused us a ring or two. But much respect to him as a player, one of the most unstoppable players. But Spurs need the win, so the best tribute is beat his team again and his bald coach for the effing time

Dirk at least earned his battles against the Spurs over the years, and especially in 2006.

Allen and Fisher just happened to be in the right place at the right time and made miracle shots.

As for Paul, he had one great series and made a great shot...but CP3.

I've no idea how good or bad Timmy and Dirk are as people in their private lives, thought they both seem like very good persons. They are certainly good teammates. But strictly as a player Dirk wasn't in Timmy's class. TD was a monster on defense, Dirk was someone who had to be hidden.
Exactly. Once he had wing defenders and Chandler in the middle, that's when they won the whole thing. You had to have the right pieces around him to cover up some of his defensive problems. TD was the guy covering up for people, plus dominating on the other end. There's definitely a gap between the 2.

As much as I enjoy a beating the Mavs, I hope this is Dirk’s last game. He looks like a three legged giraffe out there.

We don't seem to do great on these player tribute nights...Parker, Wade, Manu. Hopefully we can buck that trend with Dirk, and win by 25.

    Yeah he does.

I forgot who it was but someone was commenting saying that seeing him run out there, just struggling to get past half court made him realize that there is no way Dirk plays past this year. His running just looks too labored.

He's still better than Pau, at least.

Looked worse than a sprain to me. Could be legit structural damage.

Emotional post game ceremony honoring Dirk after tonight's Mavs game in which he scored 30. Expect them to go all out to send Dirk into retirement with a W.

Don't cheer for the Nazi when he scores like yall did with Wade. Spurs need the W to avoid a 3rd straight GSW down.
