:LOL Armando, it just doesn't work that way anymore. The market myth has been debunked and your team is the personification of LA as a whole; one vastly overrated, over polluted show that gets by on it's past laurels. The Lakers can't make anything positive for more than a few months before it goes down the tubes.

Which team is better situated going forward: Lakers or Spurs?

PS - if you say Spurs, why?

I’ve heard that same question here since Kobe was a TOSB still playing. When does/did the official going forward calendar start?

lose -> keep losing -> decide to tank -> tank -> tank more -> draft badly -> trade worse -> break it all because your vets don't perform enough and don't fit the same system as the young guys -> tank -> gm fired -> lose

this sounds a lot like the rob pelinka hiring. when will you guys start hiring on skill, instead of thnking that proxing your tampering business will make you guys better? The only people that win are the media and the spurs fans who get to laugh eeach year in a new original way.

The Spurs. There's more in the cupboard as far as cheap, young players with upside and our front office reputation is 100x more favorable than the Lakers'.

It's not that the Spurs are in a great position, it's just that the Lakers situation is so much worse, only you and other diehard fans will lean on the obvious negatives like the payroll and ineffectual top stars. The Laker list of negatives is just too overwhelming to put them in a better position "moving forward" than any team sans Phoenix. I can spare you the list of negatives to remind you, but you're not a total pendejo.

Reminder: the Lakers kicked the Dubs ass and were in 4th place before all the injuries. Lakers have cap space. Lakers have young talent too. Lakers have a lotto pick coming up. And before I forget, my Lakers beat your Spurs this year, so don't be acting like we the damn Grizzlies

Let this coming summer play out before you measure out our Purple and Gold coffins. We are in good shape. Need to get healthy tho.

Clippers were in 1st place. Rockets in 14th place. Memphis was in the playoffs and OKC was seen as the second best team in the west. Stuff changes brah. This whole they were in 4th place at Christmas argument is laughable. It should be beneath true Laker fans.

Plus yall were 1 game behind the 8th seed and let the powerhouses of Phoenix and Atlanta finish your playoff hopes. WITH a healthy Lebron

The Spurs have the better outlook.

ingram has a blood clot issue. Lonzo has no jumper and is historically bad at FT shooting (as well as 3 point). He also gets hurt too easy. Lebron is focused on Hollywood instead of actually playing defense. Lakers have no coach and their front office is a mess. It's harder to find really any silver lining.

The Lakers maxing out Donkey this off season would be the cherry on top of this show of a season tbh

that would be great. Weakens the Dubs and gives the Lakers another overpaid declining player who can't shoot

is it true players that isnt sponsor with nike cant or wont join the movie cause they arent allowed to wear their shoe brand?

and those with nike dont want to join due to not wanting to be 2nd fiddle to james?

this clown might as well get his freeloaders to star in the movie if no players want anything to do with it

Who the cares where a team is in the standings in December? Lakers are a team, couldn't win a god damn thing after the allstar break and their best prospect had what a five game streak of good play before finding out he's got Bosh's problems (and without Bosh's talent).

Woj - Ty Lue is a strong frontrunner for the Lakers coaching job, league sources tell ESPN.
