This bull has been going on for years now..

Overreacts to meaningless 4-0 runs in first quarter and then double down on a crappy lineup in critical juncture of game, giving a reeling upstart team hope just as they were ready to disintegrate..

I have said it many times: this dude is no longer an asset in the playoffs and none of his coterie of yes men assistants are able to step up to him..

I was thinking about that. He called a timeout early when the game was 6-6 but takes it in the ass when the Nuggets go on a 12 point run or whatever it was in the 4th.

Worst part about Popovich is he never gets his comeuppance. The 2016 loss to OKC was largely on him too and he never owned up to any mistakes afterwards. He'll shrug this loss off as well with his usual 'it's just basketball' or 'Denver made their shots, we missed ours'.

The biggest mistake the Spurs franchise ever made was not replacing Pop with Bud in 2015.

He'll blame the players. It's never his fault

I remember the one time you said: he always lacked Phil Jackon's ruthlessness and ability to go for the kill..It applies here.

19-point lead over a bunch of upstart pretenders who would probably been swept if he went for his best players for a couple of extra minutes in the third quarter..Now we have a series because of his stubborn overthinking ass..

I've been saying it for years. I don't know why people are just starting to take notice this year. He's been overrated his entire career but when you have three future hall of famers at your disposal that can erase a lot of the erroneous in game managing and an assistant coach like Bud who can point stupid, I mean Pop in the right direction, it's easy to see how a fanbase can be confused into thinking he's an all-time great.

Iirc it was the 2013 Finals (Game 6?) going into the 4th and we were up 10. Instead of going for the kill this worthless throws out one of the most re ed ing rotations and let's the heat back in the game with all the momentum. this clown.

forbes with teh rush shots out of nowhere

Then benches Duncan in the clutch, your leading rebounder and HOFamer, when you need that rebound to close the series and collect the trophey that was being wheeled out
