I hope Pop shows them Game 7 in '13 followed by Ring #5 to see how the Spurs didn't cower to the monumental chokejob to end all chokejobs in Game 6. Sure, they still lost Game 7 but they were in it to the end because they had heart. This Spurs team isn't nearly as good as that Spurs team in all facets but maybe they can take inspiration from the heart they showed and not let tonight's choke stay with them.
Why the would this year's team care about that ?

Once that lead went down to 12, pop should have immediately called timeout and put the guys back in. Instead no timeout until it was a 6 pt lead. Too little too late.

smart move but I'll still watch to see how his body holds up since the rest of the games will be every other day.
#2 faked injury. His body will be fine for the rest of playoffs since he was never really hurt to begin with. The only time you will hear about him having injury problems is when he has a bad game.

Was crazy hearing struggling Will Barton get booed by his own home crowd. Brutal. I don't recall that ever happening with Spur player. Has it?

All the really important guys from that run aren’t even on this team anymore

When Murray comes around the pick lma never comes up to contest really irritates me
That is one reason I never liked LMA. A big is supposed to "show" when the team isn't switching. To me it is the most important yet most difficult thing a big is asked to do. It requires great judgment, great timing, great quickness, great body control, and unrelenting hustle. But if the big doesn't show, it leaves the guards hanging out to dry. LMA's inability or unwillingness to show is one big reason our guards, for the most part, get torched.

millsap and plumlee in foul trouble
jokic struggling to stay on the court

yet this pos rather take long fade aways, jumpshots instead of taking it to the lane... and his doing this against midgets...
i guess he was happy tonight with his touches disregarding the outcome of the game...
refs bailed him out early in t he game till the refs stop calling fouls down the stretch on him, he only has himself to blame for not adjusting his game in the last quarter

That's why I have never liked him on the offensive end.

Spurs got complacent when they got the big lead early. Murray had a monstrous 4th which I doubt he would duplicate especially away. Pop would dissect the 4th and adjust. Game 3 is Spurs

LMA is a Bruce Lee Bowenesque player:

I forgot about him conveniently undercutting BI this year, now he punching players in the family jewels? Channeling his inner CP0, I see.

Y'all better hope Silver doesn't suspend his ass for game 3.

Yeah that was epic. He doesn't shoot that well when he is by himself in an empty gym.
I wouldn't have guarded him the same way. He was automatic running the same play time and time again. You gotta try to knock that rythm out of him. It's like they were instructed to let him take those shots no matter what, even when he got hot.

Also I don't really criticize Pop much, bit it's hard to defend him when he lets a 19 point lead erase and does not call timeouts promptly or brings back the key players. Milsap was in foul trouble and it's like Pop gifted him mismatches.

He might as well duplicate it if the Spurs keep practically daring him to do it.

Yes, good points. You gotta change things up on Murray. And not only did he not react quickly enough to halt the Nuggets from erasing one 19 point lead, but TWO! Crazy stubborn.

will stick to his rotations regardless of situation, he is not over himself enough to do otherwise.

oddly enough the Jokic 3pter started the run. same thing happened in san antonio when nuggets barely lost by 1. He hit a 3 towards the end of the game and it led to like a 14-0 run or something like that.

Last night Jokic hit a 3 after Rudy gay put the Spurs up 19, and in my head im thinking that i hope thats not the start of a run. And it was unfortunately.
We needed to be up 30 to win that game.

Silver could careless about who wins this series. Now if LMA did this to Curry he would have gotten suspended.

I honestly think Murray could go off again in San Antonio. That guy loves being a villain look at what he did to lonzo in La or Irving in Boston. He loves to go into to enemy territory and piss people off.

I think Spurs would take it personally that they blew 19 points lead twice. I’m sure they had an earful from Pop, and will readjust. Spurs by 25 points and plenty of garbage for Lonnie and the crew. GSG!
