totally agree with your take. As great as Evans likely is, we don't want to be bound up by him choosing at the very end and lose all of our other top targets along the way. Evans could of course very well likely go elsewhere.
IT says that they see Texas with a slight edge (right now) over the other teams he's interested in, but that the field is more likely (iow, that he's more likely to choose some other school--wherever that might be--than us.

Yeah, I think Eric moved his family to DFW in 2012 when he took a job with SMU.
