Sissoko might be out for both leg. Spurs midfield was horrendous today. They just lucky they habe sonaldo and Lllorante header.

If they cant get sissoko back, its practiclly game over for tottenham
Is Kane done for the season? Maybe Tottentham still got a snowball chance in to ring ..

    Wow. Thats some privilege.

Not only are they playing him at less than 100%. be playing a game in the final of the biggest stage when he hasnt played in months and will probably disrupt the offense.

This isnt that much better jamie vardy.

Harry Cancer not the best English player (sterling) not the best Tottenham player either.

Di is so privilaged. Can you imagine if sterling was given a free role with england and now I can totallt see the result with son being given freedom.
Son given freedom by........ LaPorte? wait, he is on Manchester City?

    You are such a dumbfck...

What an absolutely awful way to get into the Semis.
Gifted two goals by LaPorte. Thank you Sonny for being in the right place...
And a Llorente... what was that?

Tottenham's D was so awful. The offense was given goals and was bad.

Its good to win but what an awful outlook for the next game we have against them for the EPL.
I fear we dont make the top 4.
Good lord that was absolutely horrid.

    What do the numbers say?
They say Kane is the best goal scorer Tottenham has ever had.

But this alone does not tell the whole story.
Dont give us numbers when you only watch limited games.
Out of all of the sports, soccer numbers probably tells one least about what actually occurred in a game.
    You should know this.
    But you dont.

No, it wasn't on Llorente's goal. He clearly touched the ball with his arm and the new rule is that you can't do that on a goal, regardless of intention.
This new rule will be working from the new season on.

Lorente gained no advantage so i would call it a goal every day. Not sure what i think about that rule.

Very stupid that it only takes 3 yellow cards over ten matches to miss a semi final match

Nah. Stop trying to make sports "perfect". They shouldn't be. It's not maths. There always will be human mistakes. This is just a worse way of having them.
Nah, even with the occasional ups, VAR has greatly reduced mistakes and injustice, and it will only get better with time as they polish their use.

VAR is great tbh - looong overdue - but great

Plus I like to listen to the crowd’s reaction when the ref is signaling he’ll do a video review yesterday’s game was fun

Actually, I'm reading that Llorente's situation doesn't fall under the scenarios of the 'New Rule' (which apparently is in effect next season).

Sure. He's jumping, his arm is by his side, it's not outstretched... yeah, it's accidental. But I thought IFAB had determined that accidental handballs that lead to a goal would be punished with a free kick...

They did, albeit with certain caveats. In fact, one of the law changes says that it's a free kick if "a player gains control/possession of the ball after it touches their hand/arm and then scores or creates a goal-scoring opportunity." Another one says it's a free kick if "the ball goes into the goal after touching an attacking player's hand/arm."

Llorente's situation was between the two scenarios. The ball touched his arm, but then it hit his hip as well before going into the goal. And you can't really say he gained control of the ball after the touch with the arm, but he did benefit from it as it then hit his hip. The thing to remember is that what you just read is irrelevant here; these rules will apply from next season.

From what I read there it definitely falls under the scenarios of the new rule, tbh.

I also don't understand why FIFA makes changes for next season. If you think something is fairer with this new way, just apply it without waiting.

Imho, Llorente's goal shouldn't have count. If the ball didn't hit his arm first you never know where the ball would have hit him and how it would have bounced.

Eh, I think we should be pragmatic. That wouldn't have been handball in any other part of the field so why raise to an (imo) unreasonable standard just because a goal is involved? Unless we're gonna cut off their arms, Llorente's arm was pretty much as close to one's body I can imagine.
