Pretty bland, tbh.
Spurs series has been somewhat interesting.
Used to be live by the 3 and die by the 3. Players fined by their coaches for taking them. Now they probably get fined for not taking them.

better than last year's playoffs so far
'member when AD miraculously made it to the 2nd round, and mouthbreather Pelican fans were acting like he was the second coming of christ
carried by Rondo and Mirotic
Only Spurs vs Denver.
Everything else is kinda boring.
Thunder x Guests has been alright tbh
Everyone always wants a repeat of the epic 2014 first round. But it'll never happen because there's just too little parity these days. GSW ruined the league beginning in 2015.
Lol let’s not blame GS for the incompetence of other GM’s
so what exactly changed in Golden State between the first round in 2014 and when they "ruined the league" in 2015? All they did was shuffle some bench players around and replaced Mark Jackson with Steve Kerr
Bingo... replaced a Mike Tomlin clone with a real coach with expertise.
They were a mid seed playoff team in the West for 2 years with Jackson with the exact same core that they won the ship in '15 with Kerr and won 73 games the next year with. Durant might get all the praise now but he didn't start the GSW dynasty... Kerr did, as much as I hate him for his hypocritical politics.
What's the correlation here...
do not go there pls
loudmouth, overly passionate, over-the-top Christian, "player's coach" that is a loud motivational voice in the huddle but wilts in terms of execution, X's and O's. Always spews the first thing that comes to his mind without sparing a second though. Always fails to get incredibly talented team over the hump.
they're exactly the same... tbh.
It's not even a white black thing. Inexperienced white coaches who just want to yip yap like a yappy shih-tzu and not actually innovate and execute, have no business in professional leagues tbh.
trying to be funny using DoK's schtick
I still fail to see how hiring a coach with no experience ruined the league.
It's been meh.
76ers/Nets should be 2-2. You could make the argument that Nets should be up 3-1.
I figured Rockets/Jazz would go 6 but that seems highly unlikely.
Bucks should sweep and Celtics did sweep. Neither surprising tbh.
Let's see if the Clippers, Magic, and OKC win today to take the series 2-2. It's too premature to jump to conclusions. I wouldn't be surprised if Thunder/Blazers goes 7.
Because they already had the most talented roster in the league by 2014 but they underachieved because they had a junior Jesse Jackson coaching them instead of even an average or mediocre coach.
Even in 2013, they almost stole the series early by nearly beating us twice on our court save for Manu's ridiculous long shot to win in OT in one of the games. Curry and Thompson each went supernova in both of those games (especially Curry) and it was blatantly obvious by that point that the "Super Splash Bros." were the future of the league.
For starters, Curry and Klay Thompson (Ray Allen 2.0 with better defense) being on the same team is just rigged, but they got them in the draft so no complaining there. Then you factor in the depth, Draymond Green being the brainchild of Shawn Marion+Ron Artest, prime Iguodala, Bogut still being a force on defense, and the flyer on forgotten-about Shaun Livingston and you got an unstoppable team.
OKC could have easily been "that" team instead of GSW, but they made the worst mistake in NBA history by trading away Harden for peanuts which ultimately led to Durant bolting because he felt there was no hope to win a ship in OKC.
Spurs-Nuggets is probably the best first round series. Both teams have a 50-50 chance of winning every game. So you go into every game not knowing whose going to win. The rest of the First Round has been trash but that could change if the Clippers and Magic win today but highly unlikely.
How can you say it's rigged and it was legit through the draft in the same sentence? There's nothing rigged about it at all. They scouted well and made great choices with a #7 and a #11 pick.
Also, it must kill you that the best backcourt in basketball is composed of two mixed race players...
Yeah Steph and Klay was legit.. but the power shift to the Warriors really happened when KD made an all time once in a generation move and joined a 73 win team that was a year removed from winning a championship.
Can you imagine Hakeem losing to Jordans Bulls in a tough 7 game series in 94 (if MJ never went to baseball).. and then Hakeem decides to JOIN the Bulls the next season. Hakeem-Jordan-Pippen against teams mostly having only 1 Superstar as was the case in the 90's.
The Bulls championships would have been irrelevant and a joke much like the Warriors are now.
The difference is though these Warriors are still beatable because KD and Steph have choking tendencies in the playoffs.. their main compe ion just needs to stay healthy.. they have had amazing luck the last few years. CP3 last year with the hammy.. Kawhi the year before.. Kyrie/Love in 2015 in the Finals.. CP3 and Blake injured earlier in the playoffs after eliminating the Spurs (Clips and Spurs were the only threats that year to the Warriors).
6 outta 8 series are bad TV
This after 6 months of a lazy regular season
Any Overtimes? Any buzzer beaters?
NBA is stale
Yeah it wasn't the coach, at least not that one. GS was beatable before Durant, obviously, because they lost. The Spurs made 2 consecutive Finals, were they a dynasty at the time? No. Now the GSW are juggernauts. Then though, they were just playing inspired ball because the coach wasn't Mark Jackson, and Kerr saw some things he could change to capitalize on high potential group.
Nah, you just aren't interested in it because your favorite teams don't stand a chance. You can bet the fans of the GSW and Raps are in it, as well as the Celts and perhaps the Rockets fans. It cannot be your year every year. Spurs fans had a long run of success and 21 years later we're still watching our team in the playoffs. We just don't care about these guys, most of them anyhow.
KD has been clutch as in the Finals though. One may choke, but not both. You have 3 guys who can step up and carry the offensive load. No other team has that, most don't have even 2.
