    It's probably a plus.
and the hate towards black NBA players from the hood, continues. DeRosan has been one of out most consistent player in this Playoffs, and if it wasn't for him we would be down 3-1 right now.

1 Denver was the Number 2 team in west for a reason, they are a pretty good team! And 2, they have had some inspiring performances, we had ours of course, but they did it more. That 21 point 4th quarter was insane.

so yeah hate all you want!

Spurs are stuck with DeRozan for at least another season. After next season teams might trade for for his expiring contract.

I’m honestly really shocked at people on their soapbox regarding DeRozan and him throwing the ball. Is it annoying? Absolutely. He really does a poor job of controlling his emotions when he’s not getting calls.

But all the outrage and asking for him to be traded because you were offended? To each their own, but that is a bit much to me. He is by all accounts a great teammate, he’s kind to the media and doesn’t do anything off court that draws any negative attention.

He’s far more Spurs material than not.
He shows up and plays hard and gets upset when getting blown out.
More Spurs material than sitting out 70+ games.

DDR has flaws and should or could the Spurs have gotten a better deal is a reasonable debate. I think PATFO saw something in him that they could work with. Like RJ, to a lesser degree Rasho. They eventually wised up and got out of both deals.
It's hard to know what his trade value is. I suspect they will re evaluate in the off season. I wouldn't be surprised if they explore options. I don't think he is a great fit style wise, I don't see a clear way to making this team a contender in the next 5 years

Sounds about right. This was not a suspendable offense, especially during the playoffs. Now if DeRozan had actually hit the ref with the ball then we probably have a different outcome.

I don't think he actually wanted to hit the ref. More like handing it with at ude. Glad he wasn't suspended.

Hopefully it helps him learn to channel his emotions.

So he plays like an idiot, whines all the time, can't make a shot when it matters, dribbles into the defense and loses the ball or throws pathetic fadeaways, but we can't say it because he is black?

    Are you nuts or what?

Spurs were nearly a 50-win team with no Murray - Spurs adding Lonnie/Murray and hopefully a free agent that rounds out the roster and SA is going to be very good with DeRozan.

damn you didnt learn your lesson from last summer when defrozan was supposed to add 10 wins to the spurs

He had 19 points on 13 shots, 5 rebounds 5 assists and 2 turnovers.
This loss wasn't on him. I'm not a big fan of his game, but all in all he was effective. I didn't like him loosing his cool, but at least he was not accepting of losing.

Well, I dont remember saying 10 wins, but I did think they would hit 50 and they were 2 games off. Losing Murray, IMO, changed a lot of things and I do believe with Murray, SA has 4-6 more wins.

We need all the help we can get in Denver. DDR was the least of our problems against Denver though he missed plenty of pointblank jump shots. At least he found other ways to score. Glad he didn't get suspended. Pop had seemingly raised the white flag by then, down 18 with 5 to go and no one stopping anyone. A hard game to watch.

Don’t get this at all. DeRozan Aldridge were the only ones who showed up. DeRozan has been good. The myth of “playoff DeRozan” has been blown out of the water.

Derozan has played very good overall this series. Him crying and letting his frustration get the best of him is what bothers me. I don't mind him arguing calls just like every NBA player does, but he throws tantrums and let's the refs take him out of his game.

But who else on the team is going to handle the ball, get his own shots, score, lead the team in assists and stop stagnation on offense pretty much every time he's asked to.
Who else on the team makes 28 million per?

Someone finally upstaged Pop in the anger department and I'm fine with it. Anyone who is on the Spurs moral high horse or "Spurs way" bs is laughable. This may actually fuel DDR.

Just 2 more years of DeRozan and then we get to rebuild.
    Rebuilding is great!

Nothing much to discuss except whether you like the owner's dress or not (for the next ten years).

Rebuilding isn't great and that's why I would've started with get young assets for our superstar.
