Spurs are losing the game not so much because they don't shoot enough 3's but more so because they don't have any good perimeter defenders outside of White. That's been the case all year.
Space and Pace was Bud's idea. Despite dominating the Finals with that style, Pop used the first round exit to the Clips in 2015 as an excuse to entirely abandon it. Mid-range isoball was an acceptable alternative when we still had wingstop locking down opposing teams. Without Kawhi/Danny, we're just an inefficient offense only team.
cause we don't create open looks from 3. Need to do a lot more driving and kicking. Playing DeRozan with the shooters works, but Pop rather plays a Mills/Belinelli back court

Pop hates 3s. Not real basketball, he says. He refuses to design and run an offense for 3pt shooting even if he could.

The Spurs play to their strengths, the lack of threes aren't why they lost, the lack of stops is why they lost. No forced TOs for almost two quarters will lose that .
It's frustrating to be a San Antonio sports (Spurs/Cowboys) fan, tbh... Poop does it with the long twos, and Garrett does it with the "instead of scoring touchdowns, let's win by kicking field goals" gimmick...
Poop screwed up by thinking that he wouldn't lose anything on the defensive end by going from Kawhi to De got, but you can't squeeze blood out of a turnip... we need to get rid of De got/Mills and bring back Kawhi this summer, badly...
