Please show me where I ever mention he's staying LOL. It would be nice if he stays for even a 1 + 1 but hey I wouldn't blame him if he left. At least he's been a good teammate and cheers on the bench and leads by example on the floor (what else were you clowns complaining about all season). Even though he had a Derozan playoff like performance he still impacted the game in many ways Derozan could only dream of.
Imagine coming onto a Spurs board and complaining while simultaneously taking shots at a player like DeRozan that did everything for your franchise.

didn't Kawhi sit out a few games with the s before? Not to mention manu play with the broken arm in 2011 playoffs. Nephew is soft as
Yeah, she did get the s and missed like two games. For all we know, Load Management also probably sat out a game because TP stared at her and it hurt her feelings tbh.

He didn't play because he had the s. So, he not only requires load management but crap management, too? Damn, Nephew became a nuisance.

We should really move on. He's better than anyone on our team and he's got an easier path to success. He's just gonna make us eat . Just saying.

It’ll be quiet in here because he had a dominant game on both ends. Most only show up when he lays an egg or misses the game winner.

The raptors have never had a 3-1 lead. Kind of tells you how sad the derozan/Lowry lead raptors were. Even if Kawhi leaves, having him for a year just makes you as a fan realize he's the kind of player you need. His confidence permeates throughout the entire team.

He's a silent killer. I think Skip summed it up nicely when he said DeMar is a good player but he still got's Raptor in him. Same with LA. You can straight up tell the Spurs groomed Leonard. He's a quiet assassin. It's a travesty things didn't work out. I still don't know what the happened. I'd take him back in a heartbeat.

My guess is they kill PHI too. They seem like a lock for ECF which shouldn’t be a surprise. I think everyone knew they would be very good.

They will. Let's just hope the Bucks/Celtics come through.

Apparently the Spurs didn't . . . how else do you explain them giving him a good shot to reach the Finals and an outside shot to win the championship.

It's not like the return could explain away their rewarding him for screwing them, since it was embarrassing.

They rewarded him for screwing them because they're weak pushovers.

Kawhi wiped his ass with Pop, RC, the franchise, the players, and everyone's family members. But instead of having self-respect they gave him a great chance to win a ring while giving away Green, all for the return of a mentally frozen declining limited game non-all-star and a middling center prospect who probably isn't any better than the Euro'center they had stashed already.

They let people walk all over them. If/when Kawhi wins a le there will be no one happier than Pop, RC and the Spurs franchise. Not even Uncle Dennis will be as happy for Kawhi.

Raps were amazing on D tonight.. Green/Kawhi/Pascal just switch everything out on the perimeter because they can guard on the perimeter and in the post.

It was not about rewarding Kawhi but doing what’s best for them. SA felt (it’s definitely up for debate) that this was the package that helped them the most and how good it was going to make TOR was not under consideration especially since they are in a different conference.

Yeah, maybe, but the Raptors are playing the Magic, who are only 2 games over 500. No other team in the Magic's division had a winning record - the worst division in the NBA.
A 3-1 lead against the best team in the worst division is expected.

Once it became clear they couldn't get a respectable offer, they should have 1) done what objective has said numerous times and held onto him, 2) traded him to a dead end team for similar crap, 3) at the very least, had Gasol in place of Green if they were going to trade him to the Raptors.

If the Raptors catch the necessary breaks and win the championship, they should be sending these idiots rings.

I don't see what the debate is, it was a bad deal that didn't help them the most before, and it's a bad deal now.

They couldn't even hold strong to get Anunoby in the deal.

I don't see how the Spurs or Spurs fans could argue with a straight face that this deal gave them the best chance to win or even stay compe ive. The deal left them without any small forwards on the roster or anyone who could remotely guard small forwards. Because of this deal, they actually went into the season with a 1-year scrub on his way out of the league like Dante Cunningham competing to be starting small forward

How did that help the Spurs? They had DDR and Poeltl all year long plus the emergence of White to offset the loss of Dejounte and they still only won 1 more game than last year when Kawhi ghosted the team.

I don’t think many are arguing it was a great deal for SA; the very clear fact is that PATFO thought it accomplished their goal and once we learned what their goals in a trade were (whether we agree with those goals or not) you saw why they did it. Even though it led to many issues, they got what they wanted and remained a 50-win caliber playoff team.

This off season is big though. Because of how the deal went down and the team that had already been built, they had to do what they could. Now they have had time to plan and assess fit/need and will craft a better balanced roster (much of which will come from just adding Murray/Lonnie )

Yeah, but they sent him to Siberia which he hates, sooo...

He evidently only traveled from tunnel to tunnel outside, all while bundled up like an eskimo. And we know he's a California kid at heart. When he was here on his return he wasasked what he liked about San Antonio and the first thing he uttered was, it has good weather. He gone.

Would y'all have taken Jimmy Butler instead of DeMar?
