The 3 Trumper indictments have nothing to do with Russian collusion.
Didn't say it was. The indictments and jail time sure did however.

But good news, right? This was a sham investigation so I'm sure good old Manafort will get his sentence tossed out.

I always assumed that CIA, NSA, etc. would be competent enough to see some sketchy oppo research for what it was.
they announced it as such in the Gates FISA application, what more do you want?

Complete exposure of how the bull investigation started and the attempt to frame Trump and his campaign as Russian assets.
    United States:

Rogue FBI Agents (McCabe signed off on FISA process;Strzok texts with Lisa Page redacted by Mueller)(James Baker:“personally reviewed and made edits to the FISA.”)
DAG Sally Yates (signed off on FISA process)
    High ranking DOJ officials
    DNC
    Media (Buzzfeed;NYT;WaPo)
FISA court manipulation (Trisha Anderson signed off on the FISA application on Carter Page—before it went to FBI Director James Comey—despite admitting not having read it.)
Fusion GPS (Democrat-funded opposition research firm)
Adam Schiff/Glen Simpson connection (undisclosed meeting in Aspen)(Schiff tried to block Congress from getting bank records of Simpson’s company Fusion GPS. Those bank records showed Clinton campaign (working through Perkins Coie) was paying Fusion for the dossier)
State Department (official Jonathon Winer had direct contact with Simpson)

McCabe said Rosenstein sought out Comey's advice on who to appoint as special counsel, even though Comey had been fired & Rosenstein had signed the letter recommending Comey's firing. In effect,Comey picked his old pal Mueller, along with Mueller's old briefer, McCabe.

McCABE's PERSONAL GRUDGE vs GEN. FLYNN:

After FBI SSA Robin Gritz was removed from the bureau's Iran unit, she filed a complaint against McCabe for sexual discrimination; and then after Gen. Flynn stood up for her, McCabe sent agents to ambush Flynn at WH, setting a perjury trap

    Has trump denounced russia yet?

trumps people are doing the opposite: doing interviews and blatantly messaging russia that it was ok to accept stolen material from an enemy govt

    well - lets be accurate

russia is an enemy of 67% of the american people

33% is the cult and they are in a mutually beneficial relationship

No one thinks it strange that former CIA director Brennan took a copy of dumpster dossier to Harry Reid, who then sent a letter to Comey, begging to start this sham investigation.
I always assumed that CIA, NSA, etc. would be competent enough to see some sketchy oppo research for what it was.
What if the FBI had just been allowed to to its job and then found no collusion on its own?

Is Trump a Russian Agent?: Explaining Terms of Art and Examining the Facts

I think it is entirely plausible that Mr. Trump is somehow compromised by his personal and financial dealings with Russia and Russians,

but I do not think he is an “agent” in the sense that intelligence professionals use the term.

    Let me explain.

Wisconsin's Russia-GOP connection. It goes well beyond poll data in Mueller Report

what jumps out to me is how much of that story and related Russian affairs connected back to Wisconsin.

Our state appears in the Mueller Report as one of a handful in the Midwest that former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort passed information about to a Russian intelligence agent.

And you may recall that Trump did surprisingly well in all of those states in November 2016. Funny, that.

One of the biggest assists Trump got was in the form of a record investment by the National Rifle Association. Keep that NRA support in mind when you hear about this story from Friday night.

Maria Butina, who has admitted to working as a Russian agent to infiltrate an influential U.S. gun rights group and make inroads with conservative activists and Republicans, asked the court to sentence her to time served ahead of her April 26 sentencing, according to court do ents.

Butina, 30, a former graduate student at American University who publicly advocated for gun rights, pleaded guilty in December to one count of conspiring to act as a foreign agent for Russia. She has remained in custody since her arrest in July 2018.

    etc

    ‘Egregiously false’: Giuliani’s claim that

Russia hacks were in the public interest

    debunked by professor

one of Rudy Giuliani’s defenses of the Russian theft of Democratic e-mails ahead of the 2016 presidential election was that the information they stole and distributed through WikiLeaks was

    in the public interest

because it revealed information about Hillary Clinton

    why Giuliani’s argument is nonsense:

    the e-mails stolen by Russia

didn’t actually contain any information that incriminated Clinton,

they just confused people into believing there must be fire in all the smoke.

Jared Kushner Rewrites History And Claims Russia Help For Trump Didn’t Matter

“I think the investigations and all the speculation has had a much harsher effect on democracy than a few Facebook ads,”

“In the campaign we didn’t know that Russia was doing what it was doing.”

“The notion of what they were doing didn’t even register to us as impactful.”

This isn’t a case of the left hand not knowing what the right was doing.

Extensive contacts between the Russians and the Trump campaign were revealed even in the redacted version of the Mueller report,

which some legal experts say he confirm that the Russian government was attempting to help Trump with the election.

Mueller found “numerous links” and that

the Trump campaign “expected it would benefit” from Russia’s effort to help Trump win the election.

Maria Butina acted as an 'access agent' recruiting willing Republicans ... and she wasn't alone

Maria Butina acted as an 'access agent' recruiting willing Republicans ... and she wasn't alone

the government instead asked for an 18-month sentence on a single count of conspiracy.

They describe her as “not a spy in the traditional sense of trying to gain access to classified information to send back to her home country,”

but insist that Butina’s actions were “for the benefit of the Russian Federation, and

those actions had the potential to damage the national security of the United States.”

    addendum doesn’t just explain why Butina’s actions are significant;

it provides a window into something that has so far gone almost without mention in the post-Mueller report period:

the counterintelligence investigation of Russian actions.

these pages reveal the significance of what’s still lurking out there when it comes to Russia, the Trump campaign, 2016, and beyond.

The counterintelligence aspect of the Russia investigation is the one area that has been so far fully “redacted.”

Because it’s not in the report.

Other than a few black bars in the Mueller report that may be related to that investigation,

the counterintelligence work has continued in silence, offering few insights into its discoveries.

Her purpose wasn’t to rifle the files of the NRA for damaging information.

It was to find those people in the Republican Party so desperate for power that

they would eagerly reach out to Moscow as a means of keeping or extending that power.

    And she found many.

Press descriptions of the actions of Butina, her Moscow-based controller Alexander Torshin, and the various U.S. “boyfriends” and associates

the assessment attached to Butina’s sentencing presents the situation as “grim.”

    Butina didn’t have to work hard to find Republicans eager to conspire with Moscow;

she practically had to work to keep the line at her door manageable.

And her actions are just a single instance of a broader pattern.

there is a direct connection between the kinds of contacts Butina was making and

the meetings with Russians conducted by Donald Trump Jr., and Jared Kushner, and Erik Prince, and Roger Stone, and George Papadopoulos, and many others.

    It wasn’t just Maria Butina.

It was everyone whom the Trump campaign,

    the NRA, and

other Republican operatives were talking to in 2016, before 2016, and after 2016.

The purpose of these Russian agents was to make contacts that could gain them access and information when it was needed.

To turn dozens of Americans into a Russian network operating in and around the White House. As Weiss concludes

Seen against this backdrop, it’s clear that the conduct outlined in Volume I of the Mueller Report created enormous damage to US national security.

Recall that none of what Mueller covers in the CI investigation requires mustering proof of a crime beyond a reasonable doubt.

But as [the addendum to Butina’s sentence] explains,

“Russia’s efforts targeting the United States take a myriad of forms — it is, in essence, a numbers game.

Not every intelligence campaign needs to be successful for Russia to have achieved its goals.”

    yup

ive been saying this - the counter intel investigation is ongoing

    here is something mueller never once mentioned;

    1) is trump compromised in any way by any foreign govt?
    2) why did mueller never mention the fbi briefing that both campaigns received regarding foreign govts - contacts and attempts to compromise?
    3) mueller knows that if his narrow mandate did not allow him to investigate - it didnt just get cancelled - it was handed off to the fbi counter intel agents/division

    what report, we've seen bupkis?

good to know Republicans now think official conduct is beyond reproach so long as it is not provably illegal.
    Got around to reading it.

Pretty clearly shows collusion (in the commonly understood way) and obstruction, as well as laughable incompetence. Holy balls.

No "criminal conspiracy" with Russia, so saying "This is fine" sets a new low. "it wasn't criminal". Seems like pretty clear case for full on impeachment for multiple counts of obstruction of justice, as well as criminally charging him with multiple, easy to prove counts after he leaves office.
