This post is over the cap.
SO I KNOW POP IS A OLD STUBBORN MULE STUCK IN HIS WAYS BUT IS THERE ANY CHANCE THAT HE GIVES LONNIE SIGNIFICANT BURN WITH THE SECOND UNIT TO SEE IF HE CAN PROVIDE THAT SPARK WE ARE MISSING OFF THE BENCH CUZ MILLS AND BELI ARE OVERMATCHED ATHLETICALLY! MIKE MALONE MADE THE NECESSARY ADJUSTMENT TO PLUG TORREY CRAIG INTO THE STARTING LINEUP TO PROVIDE BETTER SHOOTING AND DEFENSE AND IT WAS WHAT SEALED THE DEAL FOR THEM
So you're saying that in the first three games, Malone wanted worse shooting and defense?
I tip my cap to you... please turn yours off.
Stay the course though I wouldn't object if Motiejūnas got 10 minutes off the bench.
Series is 2-2. Sure, I think the Spurs will lose in 6 or 7, but no reason to panic and put someone in that hasn't played in many NBA games and hasn't shined in many of the games he has played in. I think Beli and Co are good for at least one good game in the series.
Pop is not going to put in a playoff untested, unprepaired rookie in there. If he loses he is going to lose with the veterans.
TURN CAPS LOCK OFF RE
and no. if history is any indicator pop will let us get raped by not playing the smarter option simply because they're a rookie (Tiago vs memphis in 2011 immediately comes to mind)
Only thing that needs to happen is Pop to play the starters (White, DeRozan and Aldridge) as much as possible. Only take them out for little breathers here and there. This isn't the regular season anymore, you need to play you big guns as much as possible.
If Bertans could get more minutes than Mills and Beli, that would be nice too.
I CAP WHAT YOUR'RE SAYING, BUT DOUBT LONNIE IS THE SAVIOR. HIS HAIR IS REALLY BIG THOUGH LIKE THE LETTERS IN THIS THREAD!
The time to gamble was last summer when we could have traded Kawhitter for draft picks and young players, trading Green separately, and trading Aldridge for a mid round pick. Then rebuild with a load of picks from 2018-2020.
So no, no need to gamble now. Let Pop do his thing like he did last summer.
Hey now, let's not prejudge this guy. Maybe he was holding Shift while typing!
I'm just kidding...that being said I don't think Pop is going to give Lonnie a lot more pt.
The Spurs don't gamble and rarely trade. A very conservative organization. The KL trade was only because they were forced into it. They held on to not making a trade too long and KL lost value.
If you think LONNIE is going to have any impact on THIS SERIES, I would DISAGREE . . .
